HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS🥳🥳🥳
Hello children of the most high. I hope you've been enjoying the whole gist so far. First I'll be dedicating this chapter to FavourMedahunsi I said I was going to since but I forgot 😂 I love you wifey 💖Introducing a new POV in this chapter, one you will be seeing subsequently 😼. Enjoyyyy!!!
AMANDA'S POV
(Amanda Aderinsola Akinde)My phone's ringtone woke me up when I just went to bed- who could be calling by 12 am in the morning, a school morning?
I check to see it is a video call from Aaron. I switch on my bedside light as I yawn repeatedly. I don't bother to fix my hair or check my face before I pick up the call
"Hey twerp" he grins as he lifts his head off his pillow to see me properly
"Broski I just started sleeping and there's school today" I say while still yawning
"I should let you sleep but no, I won't"
He starts to laugh like he's said the funniest thing in the world, how unbelievable can this boy be?!
"So how's your new school, any friends yet?"
"Yeahh, I have a friend called Nancy I call her Nana then there's Eddy"
"Eddy's a boy's name" he smirks suggestively
"We are just classmates, nothing else"
He chuckles still waiting for extra information. After a few seconds of rolling of eyes and grunting I finally say"And yeah there's Toke and Erling, those two people irritate my guts ughh" I grunt in frustration as I rub my eyes
"Boys will always be boys, tell me if the issues become unbearable though, imma show up in your school and whoop some ass"
"Toke is a girl"
"Ehen, thought it was a boy"
We talk for two hours till it's 2 am. I check the time and gasp in shock. I tell my brother I have to go back to bed since I have school in a few hours. We say our goodbyes and I try to go back to sleep. I don't fall asleep till it's 4am and after what seems like minutes the time is 6am and my alarm rings for school. Well I guess the day just had to start with a headache
ERLING'S POV
(Erling Tobechukwu Kingston)
Staying in this house has become harder over the years. My dad never forgets to remind me of my screw ups every time he's around even when the house is already doing a good job with that. I walk into my study every morning to look at my trophies, the time when my life still had some meaning. One night practically changed my whole life, redirected my future. It took my dream away from me, my purpose. The atmosphere is more pleasant now that the great Mr Kingston is not at home, probably in a different country in a different continent. For now it's just Idara and I with the house staff, driver and security guard. Exactly how it is supposed to be
I stare at my reflection on my bathroom mirror, my scar stares back at me. That's one thing that will stick with me for life to constantly remind me of the sort of screw up I am.
Today's another school day and I don't feel the least willing to step out of my house. These Senior Prefect duties are really getting to me, Aidan handles work well but teachers just always prefer to bug me instead. They've even become extra nosy since last year when the whole drama went down, thank God they don't know what really happened.
