Wednesday had never been or been seen as normal. Everyone had their own opinions of her, most of them being extremely negative. She knew at one point Enid had thought of her like that, making her feel like she never fit in. She never wanted to or even tried to though. She was happy being who she is but she did wonder what it was like to be looked at as normal.
Except now she almost felt it. Enid is one of the only people, minus her family, who treat her normally. Yes, Enid was a little judgemental towards her when they first met but Wednesday reciprocated those feelings. But after a while, she felt the most normal around the blonde. It was refreshing to know she went to bed every night and woke up surrounded by someone who sees her.
Currently, Wednesday was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed while reading over her newly finished novel. She was also accompanied by Enid whose head was resting between her legs. She didn't quite know what Enid was doing but it was something to do with her phone so Wednesday paid no mind. Cigarettes after sex were playing softly in the background since Enid couldn't do anything without music and Wednesday could slightly stand them.
Wednesday felt at peace, as she usually did with Enid around. Despite Enid being most things Wednesday hated she didn't hate the girl herself. She was quite sure she loved her. "I feel like singing!" Enid grinned, earning a small groan from the goth.
"Enid do no-"
"Because this is where I want to be," Enid sang, looking up at Wednesday, signalling for her to continue.
"Where it's so sweet and heavenly." A big grin appeared on Enid's face. Though Wednesday barely mumbled the lyrics it still meant so much to her. Enid giggled, turning around and wrapping her arms around the other girl. For some reason Wednesday didn't protest, she didn't even groan she just allowed it. Maybe this will be her only shot a feeling normal and maybe it won't last forever but she's happy now. Happy that she got to experience the feeling of being a normal girl.
