(Y/n's POV)
Arriving back at the tower, the doors automatically open for me. JARVIS must have sensed my presence and opened them for me, which is a relief because I'm way too small to open them myself. It takes forever to get to my bedroom since I'm the size of a cucumber, but I eventually make it.
The first place I go is my bathroom. As soon as my eyes land on my bathtub, the strong urge to jump in and let the hot water wash away the dirt and blood, which is still tightly clinging to my skin, overwhelms me. I know that I can't, however, because instead of cleaning me, the water would probably wash me away. I love Ant-Man and all, but I don't want to become him.
After several attempts and a very sore bottom, I eventually climb onto the sink, which is where I keep all of my medical supplies. I sigh in relief before realizing that they're too big for me to grab. My cuts are throbbing painfully, and some of my blood has managed to drip onto the sink.
Barely holding my thoughts together, I reach for the antiseptic cream but hesitate to do anything with it. A noise suddenly brings me back to the present. Who the hell could that be? The Avengers can't possibly be back yet. I hold my breath while I wait. I wait for so long that I start to think I imagined the noise, and I'm about to get back to work when the distinct thumping of footsteps echo throughout the hallway, which is located right outside my door.
(Loki's POV)
I've secretly been following Y/n ever since the battle. I honestly don't know why I'm spending so much time fussing over a mere mortal, but she's powerful and has the potential to be very dangerous. The more I've been following her around, however, the more I realize that I don't want to use her for my own personal gain.
I scoff in disgust at my thoughts. I don't have time for petty feelings! I have to keep to the plan, and then I'll finally be able to rule Midgard like the king I'm destined to be.
I'm startled out of my thoughts by a door slamming shut, and I look up just in time to see a mini Y/n slipping into the tower. That's another thing. I didn't previously know that Y/n could change sizes at will. That skill could be very helpful in the future.
After giving her a few seconds head start, I sneak into the tower and quietly make my way down the long hallway. I have to be careful not to make any noise since every sound in this tower echoes. I'm only a few feet away from Y/n's bedroom door when I suddenly trip, making my effort to stay quiet go to waste since the loud sound of my feet hitting the ground has definitely reached her room. Glancing down at the spot where I tripped, I see one of Stark's robots, which he created to help clean his overly ginormous tower. "Stupid robot," I murmur, stepping over the little nuisance.
I put my ear up against the door and take a few moments to listen to what's happening inside her bedroom. I don't hear anything at first, but then the faint sound of something dropping reaches my ears. Before I came up here, I was planning on just waltzing into her room. Now that I'm here, though, I change my mind. Instead of barging in, I lift my hand and knock my knuckles against her door. I wait for a reply, and I start to feel a little nervous when I don't receive one, although I would never admit that.
After giving her another ten seconds to respond to my knocking, I decide to just enter like I originally planned. As soon as I open her door, I become even more nervous because she's nowhere to be seen. I have half a mind to run out of the tower and demand that the Avengers help me search for her when I hear a tiny whine come from her bathroom. I sigh in relief and head over to her bathroom door. The door's slightly open, and the water isn't running, so I assume that it's okay to open the door further.
The sight that I'm met with, however, surprises me. Y/n, who is still very much tiny, is attempting to bandage her wounds. "Why don't you just return to your original size?" I ask, genuinely confused as to why she would choose to remain tiny.
