CHAPTER FIVE: venomous

ALEXANDER MCCALL KNEW THE REASON HE HAD A FEW MINUTES-MAYBE MORE?-OF TIME MISSING.

He had realised that he did like Derek. At first, he had thought that he was just attracted because of the older one by look-which he had lectured himself on being an asshole for that-. But, found himself able to name other characteristics that he had enjoyed about the older one.

Alec dragged a hand across his face, muttering curses. He couldn't believe that he has only spent a few moments and had started to have feelings for Derek. Yeah, those moments where always someone saving someone-which he knew people going through something serious and/or traumatic that could and does make people closer- but, it wasn't his fault.

But it is. You are horrible at this. Alec hissed to himself. He was panicking, worried.

"Alec!" Derek's voice was loud, at least to Alec's ears. "Alec!"

Alec looked up, confused to see how worried Derek looked. Derek's hands were placed over the sides of his face.

"Derek, she's here," Isaac called out.

"In a minute," Derek snapped back, before turning back to Alec, concerned. "Alec, are you okay?"

Alec stared at Derek, for a moment. Before shaking his head. "Yeah, I'm fine."

Jackson-when had he showed up?- was on the floor.

"Alec?" Jackson questioned, surprised to see the older one here. With psychopaths. But, he did think that Alec was a psychopath, sometimes.

Derek stared at Alec, worried expression.

"So, what are you doing?" Alec asked Derek, turning to him. "You find out what happened on the night of the full moon?"

Derek stayed in watching Alec, silently, worryingly.

"What?" Jackson breathed out. "Nothing," he says, angrily. "Nothing happened."

"You're lying," Derek speaks, neither of the betas or human knew that he was talking to both Alec and Jackson. Alec lying about him being fine and Jackson lying about nothing happening on the night of the full moon.

Alec spared a glance to side-eye Derek, who was still looking at him.

The three teens in the room looked between the pair, confused.
