End of an Era

The encounter with Sirius Orion Black

After the sorting and the feast, which was delicious but also upsetting, it being my last beginning of the year feast, McGonagall pulled Potter and I into the Heads' dormitory and told us that

"This is where you two will be living this school year. The password is power and your duties start at 9 and end at 12. Any questions? No, good luck."

After she left James turned to me and said,
"So Evans, we got the whole place to ourself anything you want to give me?"
He asked hopefully with an arrogant smile dancing across his soft delicate lips- what?!?!
Lily you can't be thinking those scary yet true things about Potter!
I yelled at myself silently.
I then replied with,
"Only a slap with my book to your head, prat."

I then stalked off to go and find my three best friends, Emiline Vance, Marlene Mckinion, and Alice Prewitt.

As I was trying to find them I managed to get lost.
I had gotten lost on the way to the Gryffindor common room where I have been going for the majority of six years!

What an idiot I am.
But of course, because of my great luck,
on the way there I ran in to Sirius Orion 'The Lion' Black, the devil, player of Hogwarts himself.

"Oi! Evans! Come here." Black shouted to me.

"What do you want Black, I'm trying to find my way to the common room."
I said sharply.
He laughed a bit about me being lost and then of course, because of his contagious bark like laugh,
I had to start laughing too!
After our quick laughing session that lasted minutes(!!!!),
I finally remembered why I
was here in the middle of the Entrance Hall laughing hysterically with Sirius Black,
"So Sirius, why did you call me over again?"
I said still very giggly.

"Oh yeah." He said in a
dazed sort of voice
" I was wondering if you, Marlene, Alice, and Emiline wanted to come with myself and the other Marauders to Hogsmeade this weekend??"
He asked.

What?!
Why is Sirius asking this? "Did James send you to me to ask this?"
I asked.
It took him a second but eventually he nodded his head a yes.
And to my on surprise I replied with,

"The girls and I will meet you here in the Entrance Hall at 8:00 am on Saturday. Ok?"

Sirius' eyes bulged out of his head and he nodded a yes and poof like magic
(A/N no pun intended😂)
he ran off.
At that time did I check my watch to realize that is was 10 minutes to curfew so I sighed and made my way back to the Head's common room to await Ja-Potter!!

When I came into the common room James was sitting there so I muttered "Still don't know why he chose you as Head Boy!"

And started to walk up the steps where a door marked 'Head Girl' as James called up in a heavily sarcastic tone,
"Goodnight to you too, my lovely Evans!"
And I shut the door with a slam. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell into a very deep sleep without any dreams that I could remember the next day.
