End of an Era

The bet

I don't know why but I blurted out with
"So Evans if you liked this 'date' shall we call it how 'bout we make a bet?"
She looked like she was debating something in her mind before saying,

"Before I say yes, what so this bet on??"
"Well you know how Gryffindor lost our first match of Qudditch to Slytherin because of their surprisingly good team this year?"
I asked and she nodded a yes "Well we play them tomorrow and I was wondering that if we lose the game you will be my girlfriend? And if we win, I will stop asking you out for a month straight. Deal?"
She smiled a genuine smile and said
"Deal!"
Then we shook on it.
As we were shaking I stared into her eyes and thought

Sorry) Evans is touching me and it is not to grab something of hers that I have it to slap me! Yay I'm making progress!!

* Lily's POV*

I can't believe I said yes to that!! Hopefully I will lose the bet!! ☺️😌

TIME SKIP TO WALKING UP TOWARDS THE CASTLE. LILY AND JANES HAVE BEEN ALONE THE WHILE TRIP AND HAVEN'T SEEN THEIR FRIENDS AT ALL. NOT THAT THEY MIND THO!!

As James and I were walking out of our last store, Honeydukes, it stated to down poor. I was shivering so James did a nice gentlemanly thing and gave me his jacket. I smiled up gratefully at him and took his hand. As we walked up the steps towards the castle James stopped walking and pulled me in front of him. We just stare in each other's eyes for what seemed like ages when finally his fluttered closed and he closed the small gap between us.

He was kissing me!! I did what my brain told me to do and kissed him back with as much force and passion that he kissed me with. After what seemed like several sunlit days I broke away smiling like an idiot.

Panting I said,
"This was really fun James, thanks. See you tomorrow!!"
I have him a quick kiss on the check and bolted all the way up to the Gryffindor 7th year girls dormitory ramming into Marlene.

They pulled me onto the bed that would have been mine that year bed and pestered me into to telling them everything.
They never let me forget a single detail, they even had me describe the kiss!

* James' POV*

I kissed Lily Evans!!! I KISSED LILY EVANS!!

I bolted to the boys with a wicked grin on my face and explained every little detail to them!! What an eventful Saturday I had!!!
