James's POV

I had one hour until my date with the amazing Lilyflower. I was nervous and excited, Sirius' 'helpful tips for dates' were making me even more stressed out.

"So, all you have to do is-" Remus cut him off saying,
"Pads, no one wants to here your 'advice', as you call it, on relationships 'cause they are NOT helpful."

"Thanks Moony!" I replied and went out of my dormitory and into the greenhouses to pick some flowers for the flower herself.

Lily's POV

In twenty minutes I would be on my first real date with James.
I was so excited but, Marlene kept trying to give me 'helpful makeup tips' that were just plan awful.

"So, just put on this ki-"
I cut her off mid sentence.

"Marlene, I know your are trying to help but I really don't care about 'the best type of eye shadow for my skin tone' please. "
She just sighed as I pulled up my boots.

Since it was December, I chose to wear my new high navy Uggs my mum got me for becoming Head Girl, white skinny jeans, and a long flowing navy and red shirt.
I had a big Coach bag that matched the red on my shirt from Marlene; she got it when her family went to Paris last summer.

I also I on mascara, light blush, a dark red lipstick, and faint eyeshadow. Marlene and Alice thought I looked ' stunning' and ' magnificent'.

I smiled and walked out the door to meet James in the living room near Madam Corletta's portrait.

James' POV

Lily came down the stairs looking beautiful in her casual yet gorgeous outfit and bun. I smiled at her and said,
"Wow, you look amazing!"
She blushed and took my outstretched arm.

TIME LAPSE TO INSIDE THREE BROOMSTICKS 5 MINUTES AFTER THEY SAT DOWN WITH THEIR BUTTERBEER.

"So Lil," I said
"Let's play 20 questions!!"
I said excitedly.
She laughed and nodded her head a yes.

"Do you have any siblings?" I questioned.
"Yeah. I have a sister who hates me because of my magic and she calls me a freak because she is jealous. Any other for you
She replied, probably inquiring if it was just Jonny and I at home.

"Wow. Umm, I had an older brother but, when he was coming back from his second year of Hogwarts, I was seven, a bunch of future Death Eaters attacked the train and killed everyone in his compartment because they were 'blood traitors'. And then of course there's Johnny!"

"Oh Johnny!" She laughed. "And James, I'm so sorry I shouldn't have asked. But would you mind telling me his name?" she responded sadly.

"It's ok and his name was Harry."

She just smiled a sympathetic smile and squeezed my hand that I just realized she was holding.
I looked at her and then our hands, raising an eyebrow; she blushed and tried to let go but I held it tighter.

After a few minutes of just looking at each other, I slid into her side of the booth and whispered,
"Lily Evans will you be my girlfriend?"

She smiled and pushed me against the wall kissing me with all her might.
We broke away after what felt like several centuries of goodness but was probably a handful or two of seconds.

I took her hand again and walked out of The Three Broomsticks and back up to the castle saying,

"I'll take that as a yes. "
