Luna heard commotion behind her as she stalked off silently, but didn't turn back. She kept walking, her head filled with all kinds of rushing thoughts. Her unbeating heart deafened them, but she couldn't think straight no matter how much she tried. The one question stuck in her mind loomed over her head like a dark cloud of rain.
Would Damon really kill Luna if she came back to life? Of course, realistically, anything could kill her. That's the nature of life. But, the danger would be much more real and, well, increased if she was around Damon and the other's involved in this world. Luna's feet carried her down an empty street, not even watching where she was headed, until she found herself in the town square, sitting down on a bench and continuing to allow her head to fill with thoughts.
This whole world was new to her and she still hadn't managed to wrap her head around it. She was dead. She really was. And she was a ghost. And vampires exist. And witches too. She wondered what would pop up next, maybe a werewolf or a fairy even. The thoughts seemed absurd because life was so much more peaceful when she had no idea any of this was real. When she was blissfully unaware. Life was so much more peaceful when she was alive.
She thought when her mother was always joking around, jumping at the possibility of this world existing, she was doing just that. Simply joking. But now thinking back on it, the signs were all there, very clearly. Marissa didn't hide this world from Luna, yet she never outright spoke about it really being there. She always silently hoped that Luna would catch on. Or maybe she prayed that her daughter would do what she'd always done, never listening closely enough to her mother.
"Wow, you look like shit." The sudden voice brought Luna back to reality, her head snapping up in surprise, as she was met face to face with Elena Gilbert, who joined the ghost girl on the bench. The blonde had possibly gone even more pale which seemed almost insane as she had already been deathly pale. Ironically.
"Elena?" There was a mixture of hope and surprise that the brunette could hear in Luna's voice. But something didn't make sense in the ghost's mind. Elena wasn't able to see her before, so what could have changed now? It seemed like a cruel dream from which Luna thought she would wake up at any moment. Though, ghosts aren't supposed to dream.
"Katherine." The doppelganger corrected, a smirk making its way onto her face at the now widened eyes of the girl by her side. "I'm guessing you already know who I am."
"Well, I've heard about you. I just don't get why you can see me." The girl, though now much more tense than a few seconds before, wasn't afraid of Katherine. She couldn't physically do anything to Luna, therefore there was nothing to truly fear. Though her presence itself did manage to set off warning bells in the girl's mind.
"I'm not so sure myself. But, we can make a deal. You help me, I help you. I've seen you around, trailing after Damon. He can see you too. But I think you and I would be able to help each other much more than you and Damon could." The creepy Elena lookalike shrugged, inching closer to Luna. Her eyes were filled with intention, and the ghost couldn't decide whether there was a glint of mischief to it or if it was purely lies and bribes.
