"The last thing we see is this Marin's ass disappearing into the brush with Dora high tailing behind him, with this angry thanator coming after them." Grace laughed while telling the story.

"Hey, it's not something you can teach," Jake joked and I laughed.

'I'm not sure you can be taught anything," The group laughed at my comment and Jake whacked my arm. "Abusive,"

"That is awesome," Max marveled.

"You know, for reasons I cannot fathom, the Omaticaya have chosen you, Y/n, I can understand, but you? God help us all."

"Listen, at least I didn't basically threaten someone the first five minutes of knowing them," Jake gave me a look while speaking and I put my hands up in defense.

"You threatened someone?" Grace asked.

I shrugged, "Not really, Tsu'tey called us demons and I told him that if he think's were demons he better prepare to meet Satan himself,"

The group laughed harder, "Okay, okay, you and soon to be chief don't get along, that sucks for you," Grace said.

Jake laughed, "That's not the best part, he was assigned to her to teach her the way. I don't know if the avatar is safe, he might gut her in her sleep, or she him."

Everyone laughed again as I shook my head with a smile.

(3rd pov)

"Jarhead clan?" Quaritch asked with an amused smile on his face, Jake hummed. "And it worked?"

"Hey, Y/n and I are practically family." Jake started, "They're gonna study us. We have to learn to be one of them."

"That's called taking the initiative, son. I wish I had ten more like you,"

"Look, Sully. Sully. Just find out what the blue monkeys want. You know, I mean, we try to give them medicine, education, uh, uh, roads. But no, no, no, they like mud. And that wouldn't bother me, it's just that they're , uh," He motioned someone over, "Hey, can you... can somebody just... Sector 12. Okay, go, go, go, stop. Rich, stop! That's... Jesus! Their damn village happens to be resting on the richest unobtanium deposit, within 200 klicks in any direction. I mean, look at all that cheddar!" He laughed.

"Well who gets them to move then?" Jake asked.

"Guess," Quaritch pipes in and Jake scoffs.

"What if they won't go?"

"Oh, I'm betting that they will."

"Okay, okay, okay, okay, hey. Look. Look." Parker started, "Killing the indigenous looks bad, but there's one thing that shareholders hate more than bad press and that's a bad quarterly statement. I didn't make up the rules. So just, find me a carrot that'll get them to move. Use that girl to help earn their trust then kick them out. Otherwise it's gonna have to be all stick. Okay?"

"You got three months. That's when the 'dozers get there." Quaritch warned.

"Well, we're wasting time."

Parker patted Jake's back, "I like this guy,"

(Y/n pov)

"Okay, let's run through then again," Grace said as Jake, Norm, and her all entered the room. She showed a tablet with a Na'vi woman on it.

"Mo'at. Dragon lady." Jake said, she showed another picture. "Eytucan."

"Eytukan," I corrected from where I was standing next to my link, just making sure everything was ready. "He's the clan leader, but she's the spiritual leader."
