Jungwon's Pov ;
I make my way home, hearing Chae-Won's footsteps trail behind me.
Since Ms. Kim was our last for the day, we—or I moreover decided to start after school, with Chae-Won's agreement.
“We're here.” I stated, turning to the female to find her staring at my house in awe.
“.. Chae-Won?” I question.
“You live here?! It's huge...” She exclaimed, before turning to face me. “Right—we should probably start on the project.”
I entered the house first, opening the door wider to let her in.
I hear her mumble a small 'thank you' before she entered.
“Feel free to enter my room, it's the door right after you go up the staircase over there.” I pointed to the staircase which was to our left, and tilted her head at me, confused. “You're not coming?” She asks.
“I will, right after you. I just need to talk to my mother quickly.” I forced myself not to make any facial expressions when I mentioning a specific word, as Chae-Won just nodded in acknowledgement and walked to the stairs.
I entered the kitchen, seeing her sit on one of the stools.
“Jungwon,” she starts, facing me. “Who was that?” She demanded, tone as cold as ice.
“My classmate. We were paired up for a project.” I replied, same cold tone as hers.
“It better be just a classmate. You know what happens when I find out the correct reason, right, Jungwon?” She spits out—in a threatening way.
“Yes, now let me finish this as soon as possible.” I grit my teeth in frustration, leaving the kitchen and heading straight to my room to avoid making Chae-Won wait.
I enter my room, to see Chae-Won already unpacking and working on a part of the project.
“Oh, hey Jungwon– I just started the project, here, sit.” She patted the floor next to her, moving slightly to make room for me.
I took a seat next to her as we started to work on the project.

Chae-Won's Pov ;
It was nearing 5 when we decided to finish for today, deciding to continue it tomorrow.
I packed my bag, ready to leave, “I should get going, before it turns dark—”
“Chae-Won.” I stop my movements as I turn to him curiously, “yeah?”
He seemed hesitant before continuing to speak, “Should we talk about the project tomorrow.. over coffee?”
I was caught off-guard by his sudden offer to go to a café, stumbling over my words.
“Uh— yeah, that's– that would be great! What time?” I ask, before I end up stuttering all over again..
“9am sharp, I'll meet you at the café near our school.”
I nod in acknowledgement, turning to walk down the stairs to follow the male to the door.
He opens the door for me, letting me exit his house.
“Stay safe, Chae-Won.” He breathes under his breath, as I wave at him a goodbye, flashing him a smile.
And I swear, for a split moment, I could see his lips curve into a small smile.
