Chae-Won's Pov ;
The weekend passed by faster than I thought, as it was lunch on a Monday once again. Sunday was uneventful, yet I spent all night thinking about me and Jungwon's, quote-on-quote 'date' as Eun-Ji worded it.
I attempted to think nothing of it, yawning in my seat, flipping through random pages of my books.
I hear footsteps approach my desk, a figure standing in front of me. Curious, I look up, my eyes locking with Ni-Ki's who was standing in front of my desk, who was leaning onto my desk to meet my gaze.
“Oh- H-Hey, Ni-Ki!” I exclaim, trying to not make the atmosphere awkward. I lean onto my chair, creating a distance between our faces which were centimetres away earlier.
I had barely noticed, too focused on the male himself.
“Hi Chae-Won!” He cheered, beaming at me and fixing his stance to a more proper one, “I noticed you were alone, so... Do you want to maybe grab lunch together?-” he mumbled the last part, but still audible for me to catch.
Of course, who was I to decline?
I nodded my head responding, “Of course! I'd love to!”
“Great, I want to introduce you to my friends!” Ni-Ki remarked, grabbing my hand as we headed to the cafeteria.
... Wait, other friends?!—
——
Eventually, me and Ni-Ki finally get our lunch food and sit at a table he dragged me to, with his other friends.
I scanned over the table and found a familiar dark brown-haired male who was quietly sitting and eating while the other's chatted.
“Jungwon?” I blurted out, my guess correct as he raised his head in surprise to hear me.
“Chae-Won? You're here?” He asked me in shock,
“Yeah! I brought her here, to introduce to the others.” Ni-Ki butted in, the other guys looking surprised at me and Jungwon's interaction.
“So, are we not going to introduce ourselves now?” A pink-haired guy interrupted, adorably pouting.
“Right!- Sorry, I'm Chae-Won. You guys are..?”
Soon enough, each of them had introduced themselves. I learnt their names were Jay, Jake, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and the pink-haired guy to be Sunoo. They all turned out to be Jungwon's close friends.
We chatted and exchanged conversations for a bit, until I excused myself, having to spend a bit of time revising in the library.
I bid them farewell and left, already hearing them start another conversation.
——Jungwon.
Once Chae-Won had left, the other's bombarded me with questions.
“Who is she?” “You have a female friend?!-” “You never told us!” “You're face lit up once you saw her, what is she to you?!-”
I pushed away my tray from me, crossing my arms as I glared at them to stop, which they luckily did.
“ Firstly; she's just a classmate. That's it. Secondly; it wasn't important, that's why I didn't tell you all. Thirdly; No. I did not light up seeing her, I was simply just surprised..” I explained, emphasizing the last part.
They didn't seem convinced, but had let it go, finally.
Although what Jay said stuck to me.
I did feel a sort of.. happiness, when I saw her.
Wait— I can't be having these thoughts.
I shake my head to get rid of my thoughts, wanting to clear my head.
Remember what happened last time, Jungwon.
You can't feel this again...
