Both Eunice and Xiara walked into the hospital at the same time. The guard gave them a smile, and they gave him one back. Even though they are now in the hospital, Eunice still has second thoughts about her decision, but she has to stick to it. There is no turning back.

"I still don't know why we're back here, but I trust you. I know you want what's best for me, so I don't have to worry. Gosh, Eunice! I miss having a walk with you like this. For some reason, I feel the time is slowing down," Xiara said as they walked toward the director's office.

Eunice just gave her a smile. It makes it look like this was the sign she needed to confirm that she should bring Xiara back. The hospital is the best place for her to stay because Xiara deserves to be happy and she doesn't want to see her in pain for much longer.

"So, that's the reason why you are here? I thought you might be able to take care of her? What went wrong? I have to say, Miss P.A., that sometimes your mind is also messed up," Leo exclaimed as the two came into the lobby and he talked to them.

They were still sitting on the bench outside the doctor's office today, and Leo saw them and went over to ask. After what happened yesterday, he didn't expect to see Xiara in the hospital.

"Wait, why does the way you talked make it sound like I'm to blame for my friend getting sick? Are you really trying to mess up with me? Watch your words, sir. Even though you are the son of the owner of this hospital, I'm still going to beat you," Eunice insisted firmly.

Eunice was getting upset, so Xiara quickly hit her on the arm. She didn't think her friend would say this again after how embarrassed she was yesterday. Leo didn't pay attention to Eunice because Xiara just gave him a warm smile.

"Please don't talk anymore. Your mouth is going to get us into trouble. Let him go, Eunice. It's too early for you two to start fighting again," Xiara told her friend in a gentle tone.

Eunice calmed down and stopped talking to Leo. After that, they decided to go into the director's office and just wait there. Just as he got there, the doctor was surprised to see his son and the two young ladies standing outside his office.

"Good morning! You came early this morning. How can I help you? Is there something wrong with Xiara's condition? The head nurse called me earlier because she said Eunice needed to talk to me. Is that right?" he asked the two in surprise before leading them into the office.

Eunice nodded, and then she went in. Xiara, on the other hand, was wondering what was going on because she had no idea. Eunice also never told her why they were at the hospital, so she didn't know.

"I'm sorry if my office is still a bit messy. We had a meeting last night and I couldn't just leave. But anyway, how can I help? You're not calling for anything. Wait, do you want some coffee?" the doctor asked again while arranging the papers on his desk.

Eunice nodded, so the doctor quickly made a sign with his right hand to ask Leo to brew for them. The young man frowned and hesitantly took two cups and brewed coffee.

"What's going on, Eunice? Do you want to say something to me or not? Why did you call? What? I feel like an outsider here because I don't know what's going on," Xiara told her friend in a low voice.

Eunice told Xiara in a whisper not to ask right now. Even though it broke her heart, Xiara just let her friend handle what was going on. She would just wait for her to tell her later what happened.

"Can I speak to you alone? I mean, I want to start by telling you about this. Don't you have other things to do? I really want to talk to you about this, so I hope you'll give me some time. Is that okay?" Eunice added again.

Even Leo was a little surprised by what he heard, he couldn't help but hear what his friends were saying inside. He was curious.

"Sure, if that's what you want. What you're going to tell me seems important, so I'm not going to ask you anymore. Leo, can you walk with Xiara outside? Get some fresh air outside while we talk, please," the doctor suggested, once again making Leo let out a deep sigh.

Before he left the office with Xiara, he put the two cups of coffee on the table. He didn't know what was going on and couldn't do anything about it. He also wanted to talk to Xiara and say hello.

"Hey, how are you? I heard from the nurses earlier that your fever was high last night. Do you want some soup? Let's go to the cafeteria. It's on me. Come on," the young man suggested.

He quickly put his arm around the girl after that, which surprised her. Xiara didn't think Leo would do what he did now. Before, she was always been the one who went with him and asked him to join her. But it looks like things are starting to change now.

"What did you eat today? You will treat me to some food? Seriously, I hope you're always in a good mood. You'll cover everything I buy, right? Come on, maybe you'll think differently and change your mind. Time is running out," Xiara answered quickly before pulling the young man's arm.

Leo just laughed when the girl asked him something. Even though she felt weak, he was glad to see her smile. He couldn't think of any other way to make her feel better for a while.

"Wait a minute, don't run! Dad probably told you not to push yourself too hard, right? I'll take care of you, so don't rush. I can buy you food anytime so take it easy," Leo yelled and stopped, then pulled his arm back.

Both of them almost fell because of what he did. Luckily, they were close to the wall, so Leo quickly leaned back before Xiara's head slowly hit his chest.

Now that their faces are close together, they can feel each other's hot breath. Leo didn't know what was going on, but he could tell that his heart was beating very fast. Even though they didn't run that far, it looks like it will explode quickly.

"L-Leo...." Xiara said softly.

Even though the hallway wasn't very warm, Xiara was now sweating. Xiara also felt like she was suffocating, but the fever was no longer affecting her. Leo was the only thing she could think about right now.

"Leo..." Xiara repeated to the young man.

When she opened her mouth and said the young man's name for the second time, she couldn't stop feeling something strange in her chest. She didn't know what it was, but the only thing she knew for sure was that it was about the young man.

"Xiara..." Leo answered weakly.

Even the few people walking by didn't bother them, so they stayed close to each other. They seemed to lose their hearing for a moment, and all they could hear was the strong beating of their hearts and their hot breath.

"I-I can't breathe, L-Leo," Xiara said again, which made Leo go back into his trance and break away from the girl's embrace.

Leo didn't get over what had happened right away, and he kept looking at the girl. He can't help but feel sorry for her because she's so young and already has a disease that makes her whole body weaker.

"S-Sorry, I was just shocked. You might fall if I don't catch you. It's just my instinct," Leo explained shyly.

When Xiara saw that what happened was making Leo uncomfortable, she smiled right away. She put her arms around him again, making him feel less astounded.

"That's okay. Let's go, and there will definitely be a long line later. I can't do my tricks here because other patients might also be hungry," Xiara said quickly and wrapped her arms around the young man again.

They hadn't gone very far before they heard their names over a loudspeaker. Because of this, they stopped right away to check what was happening.

"Calling the attention of Sir Leo and Miss Xiara. Please proceed to the Director's office. Thank you!"

Even though they were curious, they quickly walked back to the doctor's office to find out what was going on.
