When Colour Dies (English)

Chapter 6

Xiara is quiet while she drives the car. She is now with Leo, who is in the passenger seat and isn't paying much attention to the enormous buildings they drive by. He wasn't in his room resting and he was with Xiara, whom he didn't know much about yet.

"How are your wounds? Does it still hurt so bad? Your doctor said everything is fine, so you can go out now. I'm still sorry because if I hadn't been careless, this wouldn't have happened. Don't worry, I'll help you as much as I can," Xiara said softly.

Leo didn't say anything and just ignored her. It seems to have gotten back to being mysterious. He wanted to get to know her better and find out where everything came from and why she had this idea of dating him. He wants to know what Xiara is thinking of doing.

"How long will you be driving? Where do we plan to go? You just pulled me here without telling me why or even giving me an idea," Leo asked Xiara irritated.

The lady gave him a quick glance and smiled. "Be calm. I don't plan anything bad for you. Just chill, Leo. There's nothing to worry about; everything is fine. I'd be there for you if something went wrong," Xiara replied.

Leo again looked out the window of the car. He wanted to go back to the hospital, but there was nothing else for him to do. Even his own father was willing to do what Xiara asked. He wasn't ready for this last-minute date.

"Why do you waste your time socializing with me? I heard you make videos. Just record what you want to say and go back to your life. Don't bother me and let me do what I want," Leo said, making the silence between them break.

Xiara didn't answer, but she parked the car on a beach after a few seconds. They were the only two people there, which surprised Leo a little. Going out to the beach didn't cross his mind.

Xiara finally stopped the car and turned off the engine. She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt before getting out of the car. Leo looked at her strangely, but he quickly followed her down.

"So, why are we here? Is this what you have in mind for our first date? Here on the beach, and it's just us two?" Leo asked, confused.

Xiara stretched her arms just a little so she could feel the cool air and the heat of the sun better. After that, she started jumping like a child.

Xiara also took off her heels and rushed to the beach. Leo looked at her puzzled because he didn't know why she was acting like this. She looks like a child the first time she goes to the beach.

"Don't be a killjoy there. Let's go, Leo!" Xiara shouted with joy as she ran.

He just stood there and looked at the lady. Leo doesn't know why, but right now his heart seems to be breaking. He's jealous of her because she seems to be happy so easily, while he had to work hard to be happy.

"Are you just going to stare at me? Let's go! The sand feels hot. It is so relaxing. Oh, I miss this beach!" Xiara screamed without any sense of shame.

Leo took his shoes off slowly. He wasn't sure if he should listen to the lady and do what she said. He wants to try to do what she does because he dares to have a little fun. He wants to get out of his sad mood, but it's hard for him to do so.

"Try it. You deserve to be happy too."

"What are you doing here? After what you have done to her? Where did you get the guts to relax?"

"Did you forget what happened?"

Leo is confused because his mind and heart seem to be at odds with each other. He had the feeling that someone was whispering in his head and telling him what had happened. Making him feel like he can't be happy.
