Three long years have passed since Zaheer and the red lotus was defeated. The world was at peace and was making quick advances.
"First time in the city little one?" the worker asks the young girl
"Yeah!" the girl smiles "I lived in a small town until now, I can't wait to explore the City."
"Well," the worker bows "Welcome to Republic City, the place of hopes, dreams and Spirit Wilds."
"Spirit Wilds?" she looked confused
"See those vines there." the worker point to the center of the city "those are Spirit Wilds, the Spirits live there after Guardian Violet and Avatar Korra left the portals open. Here, spirits and people live harmoniously together."
"Wow!" the girl looks even more excited "I can't wait!"
"Did you parent's send you all alone?" the worker asks as she gets off the boat "Must be tough on a child."
"Oh I'm not a child." the girl smiles "I'm 19" she waves to him "See you Mr. worker."
The worker looks confused as she runs off.

Mako sighs as he watched Prince Wu attempt to flirt with Asami, he quickly sent him off to President Raiko.
"He's a real charmer, huh?" Mako asks
"He's... something." Asami sighs "How can you stand being his bodyguard?"
"Well, I just remind myself that once he's on the throne, I go back to being a detective." Mako replies
"And that works?" Asami questions
"I also go home, and smash my head into the wall for an hour, you know, just to get the stress out." Mako answers sarcastically
Asami laughs lightly "It's good to see you, Mako. It's been too long. You hear from Bolin lately?"
"I haven't talked to him for a while, but he's coming in a few days for the coronation. And Beifong told me that Korra is getting in tonight." Mako tells her
"I can't wait to see her." Asami smiles "It's going to be weird, having the old Team Avatar back in the city after all these years."
Mako's mood turned somber "Not all of us will be back.."
"Mako.." Asami hugs him sympathetically "I'm sorry, I miss Violet too. I wonder how Korra's been taking it."
"Probably just as hard as the rest of us." Mako sighs "I should get back to work."
As Mako makes his way through the crowd to Wu, he bumps into someone making them almost fall over, Mako quickly catches them.
"I'm sorry." Mako apologizes helping them stand up straight "Are you alright?"
"Yes, thank you." The girl looks up at him
Mako's eyes widen "Violet?!"

"I'm sorry.." the girl apologizes "My name's Vi, not Violet"
"Ah." Mako lets go of her "Sorry, i mistook you for someone else.. you look like her."
"It's alright." the girl smiles
Mako notices marks under the girl's necklace, the same blue strangulation marks Violet had from years ago.
"Are you-"
"Sorry I gotta run, I got somewhere to be." Vi apologizes before running off.
"That can't be a coincidence." Mako's eyes tear up "It has to be her."
After the press is over, Mako runs up to Asami.
"Asami I saw Violet!" Mako grabs her shoulders
"Mako.." Asami looks at him with pity "Did you have another dream?"
"No I actually saw her!" Mako repeats
"Mako" Asami took his hand "Calm down."
"Asami, I bumped into a girl who said her name was Vi, she has the same blue marks around her neck like Violet did three years ago." Mako explained desperately "It can't be a coincidence."
"Hm.. she said her name was Vi?" Asami asks finally listening "We did call Violet, Vi, a lot."
"Exactly." Mako agrees "What if she didn't die?! What if she lost her memory and all she could remember was Vi as her name?"
"Mako we have no proof to follow this." Asami says
"Their's no new guardian in the world, no new guardian in 3 years." Mako explains "One would've been born by now if Violet was dead."
"Not necessarily Mako, we don't know exactly how the cycle works." Asami sighs "I know you're going to freak out and go detective mode on this anyway, just be careful."
