After the kidnapping incident, Mako decided to hide Wu at Asami's manor with his family. Meanwhile, the city has been experiencing many issues with the spirit vines, including people going missing. After further investigation, Korra was able to see that Kuvira was taking vines from the swamp. The city held a meeting about Kuvira while Jinora went to find the missing people.

Everyone seemed to be doing the important stuff while Violet was at air temple island meditating. Echo laid comfortably curled up behind her, since her return, the dragon had a hard time leaving her alone.

After some time, Violet opened her eyes to see herself in the spirit world. In the distance she saw a familiar man looking up at a tree. Violet got to her feet as she watched him.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" He asks.

"Zaheer, why are you here?" Violet asks calmly.

"Can't a man in prison have some peace?" Zaheer questions as he turns to face her "Should my mind be chained with my body as well?"

"If it means I can go my lifetime without seeing your ugly face," Violet replies with a smile. "I'm more surprised that you're able to get here, your prison cell doesn't seem very spiritually charged."

"How would you know?" Zaheer asks with a chuckle "You haven't seen me since your demise guardian."

"Why would I want to?" Violet questions. "You're no longer a threat to me."

"Your sister came to visit me," Zaheer tells her "A few minutes ago actually."

"That girl," Violet sighs as she hit her forehead "why can't she ever run anything by me before she does something?"

"You two are more spiritually out of sync than I thought," Zaheer says "It's a shame."

"Hm?" Violet tilts her head, confused.

"The avatar and her guardian must be in sync at all times, or the balance of the two would tilt." Zaheer explains "Your sister is here, in the spirit world, yet here you are before me. Why is that?"

"It's not like I chose to come here," Violet replies. "Well, I mean, I wanted to come to the spirit world, but not to you."

"You say that, but here you are." Zaheer says.

"Why are you trying to confuse me?" Violet asks, "Can't you just go away?"

"Your sister wasn't a peace with what happened," Zaheer takes a step towards her "are you?"

"What do you mean?" Violet looks confused.

"Are you at peace with all that has happened?" Zaheer clarifies.

"Of course I am," Violet replies "what happened, happened, and we're stronger now."

"Yes, but despite your efforts, you could not save your sister." Zaheer says "Does that fact still haunt you?"

"I did what I could," Violet replies, beginning to look irritated "enough with the questions now."

"You are getting angry," Zaheer states.

"Of course I am!" Violet growls "I'm trying to meditate here and you're ruining my peace!"

"The avatar line was severed, she was poisoned," Zaheer began to list as Violet tightens her fist "she spent years in-"

"Enough!" Violet's eyes turn red as she bended fire at him.

Zaheer side stepped it as Violet looked surprised.

"B-But- wha-" Violet's hands shook as she looked down.

"Surprised to see you can bend in the spirit world?" Zaheer questions. "All forms of bending came from the lion spirits after all, and the one who created them were the guardian spirit to protect the humans."

"I-I didn't mean-" Violet gasps as she looked up to see the tree Zaheer was looking at earlier had turned black as the fire was consuming it.

"You still have much to learn, young guardian." Zaheer shakes his head "But so little time."

Violet held her hands to her chest "I-"

"That's enough Zaheer." The two turn their heads to see Iroh coming out from the forest. "Go back to where you came and stop tormenting the poor girl."

"Iroh!" Violet ran towards him.

Iroh wraps an arm around her in a hug as he glared back at Zaheer. Zaheer smiles before he disappeared from the spirit world.

"My, look how big you are." Iroh says to her with a smile.

Violet looked back to see Zaheer gone and Iroh pats her back.

"I thought you could use some help," Iroh tells her.

"Yeah, thanks for that." Violet smiles.

"Don't be fearful of the power you hold," Iroh says "the spirit world is where you are most in tune with your spiritual side."

"I made a mistake again," Violet mutters as she looks down.

Iroh looks back at the tree before turning to her "A mistake? Mistakes are how we learn and grow. That mistake, is one in many of your lifetime."

"I've made that many?!" Violet asks looking embarrassed.

"Do not fret," Iroh chuckles "Kira made many mistakes in her life. I always believed in her though, and she always made the right choice in the end."

"Did she really?" Violet questions.

"Yes, and you are no different child." Iroh says "When I looked at Kira, I saw a girl grieving for the family she lost, while trying to prove that she was useful to her new one. It was a cycle on repeat almost her entire life. She found a forever family in her husband and her friends, and when she was older, she realized she didn't have to prove herself to anybody."

Iroh places a hand on Violet's shoulder "And you are really no different. What does the perfect Guardian look like to you Violet?"

"I.. don't know." Violet replies "Maybe, one that supports her avatar."

"All guardians support the avatar, but what if something happened to your sister?" Iroh questions "What if her spirit is corrupted? What will you do then? Will you still support her, even if she is wrong? Or will you step up and restore balance to the world?"

"Re...store balance?" Violet replies questionably.

Iroh chuckles "See, there is no right or wrong choice in life. There is simply, a cause and an effect. Everyone has their opinions of right and wrong but is your choice to make at the end of the day."

"There's no such thing as a perfect guardian..." Violet smiles up at him "Thanks Iroh."

"Just remember to keep a level head," Iroh says "my nephew wouldn't know the definition of those words."

Violet giggles "I'll be sure to tell him."

"While you're at it then, give him a good smack." Iroh adds as he puts his hands behind his back. "He needs to rest more at his age, he doesn't have anyone to run after like I did."

"I'll be sure to," Violet nods with a smile.

Violet opened her eyes back in the real world where Echo flapped his wings behind her. She reached over and rubbed his head.

"I'm feeling like myself again Echo," Violet says as she stands up. "And I think, it's time to get reckless!"
