"Violet what's wrong?"

Violet looks up from her food to look at her father who was staring at her looking worried.

"N-Nothing daddy" Violet replies looking back down at her plate

"Violet's upset cause the leaders didn't think she mastered earth." Korra speaks up

"Korra!" Violet looks at her older sister

"What?" Tonraq looks at Korra "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, we overheard them talking!" Korra replies "But that's not true, Vi's great at earth bending!"

Violet slumps down in her seat.

"Violet, their's nothing to be ashamed of." her mother speaks up "You're only 13, you're not meant to have mastered all the elements already."

"B-But what if they o-only move Korra onto f-fire.. and what i-if i can't do that e-either?" Violet asks "I'm not-"

"You'll totally be amazing at fire too!" Korra interrupts

"Korra what have we told you about interrupting Violet." Senna lectures her daughter

"Oops" Korra rubs her head "Sorry Vi."

Violet stares down at her plate again while Tonraq and Senna exchange worried glances.

Violet stood beside the elders while they assessed Korra's earth bending trial. Violet watched her sister in amazement as she swiftly dodged and countered the earth bender's attacks. Once over Violet clapped for her sister.

"So!" Korra looks at them excitedly "How'd I do?"

"Impressive as always Avatar Korra." The White Lotus Leader nods

"Yes!" Korra ran up and put her hand up to her younger sister

Violet smiles and high-fives her sister.

"So, do we get to move onto fire now?" Korra asks eagerly

"Patients young Avatar, you might have passed but your sister still failed." The White Lotus Leader responds

"Oh come on, just give her a pass." Korra says putting her arm around her sister

"Now Korra." Katara speaks up "While I admire Violet's excellence in water bending, the switch must also know how to bend earth, if we give her this pass she won't be learning."

"I-I understand" Violet bows

"I'm sorry Violet." Katara smiles to her "But I know you can do it."

"Y-Yes" Violet nods looking sad

"Oh come on." Korra says annoyed

The group was interrupted by a dragon roar above them, they look up to see a dragon going in for a landing.

"It's Lord Zuko!" Violet says excitedly running to greet him

Zuko descends his dragon and smiles as he sees the young Violet run up to him.

"Hello Violet" He greets

"Lord Zuko." Violet bows before him

"I told you, you don't have to do that." Zuko chuckles before opening his arms

Violet smiles and hugs him. The two sit together drinking tea.

"How have you been?" Zuko asks

"...not so good" Violet admits

"How come?" Zuko asks "Is it the training?"

"I failed my earth bending trial." Violet replies

"That's not so bad." Zuko tells her

"But Korra passed.." Violet looks into her cup "What if she goes on to learn fire.. and air.. and leaves me behind?"

"Don't be so hard on yourself child." Zuko says "Had you two not have been sister's, your path's would be different. You cannot compare yourself to that of the Avatar."

"I don't know Lord Zuko, maybe Kira was wrong about me." Violet sighs "She chose wrong.."

"I know my wife," Zuko stands up "And she didn't pick you for nothing, she saw something in you, she knows you have the potential to be something great."

"And what if i'm not?" Violet asks

Zuko smiles to her "You will be."
