years had gone by since erity's parents had forced her into a school she didn't want to go to, and her mental well-being wasn't getting any better according to staff. she was still the same old little girl who had been instituted there at the age of eight.

her parents had hardly visited her at all, four times at most. this was there own way of getting rid of her, which they achieved. it was typical of every parent who instituted their child there.

the major change in the girl was the relationship she had with zankoku. throughout the years he had conversed with the growing girl and helped her not be so alone inside the school.

inside her mind, he was all that she needed in life. why would she need family or friends when she had her guardian angel zankoku.

the now fourteen year old erity sat on her bed inside her assigned dorm room with a blank look. "zan? you there?"

the wall directly in front of erity quickly darkened at the call of his name, "i'm always here, erity."

"am i really not getting better? to their standards in order to leave?" erity's tone was devoid of hope as was her eyes, which nearly looked dull. "i just want out of here... it's not like they treat me any better than my parents did."

"you've always been well enough to leave, eri... they are just monsters who want to keep you and the others hostage."

the girl let out a genuine laugh at his words, "are you sure you're really a devil? ya know the way you talk to me and just act in general goes against your stereotypical nature. have you gone soft on me, zan?" erity teased the devil.

"yes i'm a devil- a pretty infamous devil at that."

"then what do they call you mr. infamous."

his eyes that were visible from the wall rolled, making the girl laugh in response, before looking back at her. "don't worry about that. i'll tell you another time perhaps."

"yeah okay, whatever you say." her back fell against the bed, taking her eyes off of the wall. "isn't there a way to just escape...? i mean you could help me, by.. i don't know... scaring them?"

"you want me to scare them for you, really? i could do more than scare them for you."

"and what would that be?"
