Wonyoung's P.O.V.
"I'm awake in the infinite cold."
I pressed some keys on the piano and tried to think of the next line, but I couldn't.
"God damn it!" I cursed as I slammed a few keys.
More than a week had passed since I last saw Y/n, and all I could do and think of was to try and finish this song for her. But in that time that had passed, all I had was a line. A single line.
I can't... I can't do it without her. I have been used to having my inspiration just by my side, but now that she's gone...
All of a sudden, I heard a knock on my door. It couldn't be one of the maids because I told them not to disturb me when I'm in my studio. And it also couldn't be Gaeul because it's already late at night.
Before I can stand up to see who it was, the door opened and two people who I hated the most came in.
"Wonyoung, dear." my mother greeted.
"What are you two doing here?" I asked them.
They barely even see me when I'm outside. For them to come down here at my studio, there must be something important.
"Can't we come and visit you here? It's been a long time since we saw you here anyway." my father replied while my mother came and hugged me for a second.
"I'm busy right now. Come and visit next time. Or never." I whispered the last part to myself.
"Oh dear, don't be grumpy. We came here to encourage you." mother defended.
"Encourage me? So far, you've done nothing but take away everything that's making me happy." I scoffed.
"Everything that we do is only for your own good. That girl is not even half of what you deser--"
"Do not talk about her like she's nothing!" I cut him off.
They both were taken aback by my sudden outburst, but I couldn't care less.
"To me, she's everything." I added.
They deeply sighed and shook their heads, which did nothing but fuel my anger and resentment more.
"Forget about her. She's only after you for the money. Look at what she's done to you!" mother exaggerated.
"You were the one who offered her something she can't refuse. You're the reason why I'm being like this, not her." I grumbled.
"The mere fact that she chose money over you is proof that--"
"Stop." father interrupted her.
"We're not here to fight with you. As we said, we're here to encourage you." he added.
"Funny. I don't see any of that happening with this useless conversation." I laughed sarcastically.
They stopped talking back for a few seconds. It eventually helped to calm down my nerves before I'm about to explode at them. But it doesn't lessen the anger that I have.
"You need to resume working." mother stated.
"Sorry, but that won't happen anytime soon." I crossed my arms.
"Why not? You finally don't have any distractio--"
"I've lost the one and only inspiration that I have. Without her, I won't be able to do anything. And I will not do anything unless you bring her back to me." I taunted.
"Well, we have a solution for that." father replied.
For a moment, my eyes widened and I was full of hope again. Maybe they decided to finally accept that Y/n was the one for me, and now they've decided to--
