First Meeting

[Jade's POV]

*kring... kring* "Hello?" "Oh Jade, anak, malapit na ba kayo?" tanong ni mama na halatang super excited. "Relax, ma. Kakadating lang po ni Manong (driver). Don't rush us, okay? Baka mamaya ma-aksidente pa kami on the way", I joked. "Naku, ikaw bata ka! Wag ka ngang mag-biro ng ganyan!", she hissed back. "Okay sorry na. Kayo kase eh", a smile formed on my face. "See you!" I chirped. "See you, Jade!" I heard my father from the background.

"Manong, okay na po ba?", tanong ko kay Manong Driver. "okay na po, maam. Tara na po?", he asked eyeing me from the rearview mirror. "Sige po. Dahan-dahan lang po sa pagmamaneho, ha." He just nodded.

The car ride went smoothly naman kaso may girl na biglang tumawid from the other side of the road. "Anak ng-", napasigaw si Manong. "Okay lang po ba kayo, maam?", tanong pa niya sa akin. "Okay lang po. Eh yung babae?", sagot ko naman habang ini-uundo ang seatbelt ko.

"Miss, are you okay?" I asked the girl as I eyed her, I think she's a bit tipsy. "Oh umm yeah, I'm fine. Sorry, kasalanan ko. Okay lang ba kayo nung uhh driver mo?" She apologized sabay tingin kung sino kasama ko. "Yeah, we're fine. Ikaw ang parang di okay eh. Can you sit up?" I inquired then helped her sit.

"Ano ba? Sabi ko nga diba na I'm okay?!" Sigaw niya sabay hatak sa kamay ko. "Hoy ano ba!" Sigaw ni Manong sa babae. "Ikaw na nga tinutulungan, ikaw pa galit."

"Manong, tama na. Wag niyo na pong patulan, mukhang lasing po eh.", I replied calmly.

"Eh nakakainis po eh. Kung may balak siyang magpakamatay eh wag na siyang mandadamay." mukhang galit na galit pa rin si Manong. "Sige na, Manong. Pasok nalang po tayo sa loob. Kanina pa tayo hinihintay nila Dada."

I spun my heel around when suddenly the girl grabbed my hand "I'm really sorry. It was my fault. Di naman ako magpapakamatay eh. I was just... busy thinking I guess." I can see she was really sincere with her apology. "Are you drunk?" tanong ko naman sa kanya. She chuckled, "konti lang".

"Sige, ikukuha ka nalang namin ng taxi." I smiled as I admired her rosy face, epekto siguro ng pagka-lasing niya. "That'd be good. Thank you.", sabay tayo pero mukhang matutumba.

She almost tripped, buti nalang nakasandal siya sa akin. Ang higpit ng pagkaka-yakap niya. "You're welcome", I replied while lightly tapping her shoulder. "You can uhmm let go now." I cleared my throat. "Uy sorry", she grinned then let go.

And then I caught myself staring at her. As if checking her out. Looking at those mesmerizing eyes, that beautiful nose, those luscious lips.. they look so kissable...

Wait, what?!

And as if letting me go of the trance, bigla kong narinig ang grudgy voice ni Manong, "mam, may taxi na po, ihatid na natin si...." Manong trailed off.

"...Althea. The name's Althea. And you are..? she asked facing at me. "Jade. I'm Jade." sagot ko naman sa kanya.

"Well, Jade, I'm sorry talaga. Ang pangit naman ng pagmi-meet natin. I just hope this won't be the last and sana may maganda namang mangyari", she sound hopeful.

"Sana nga." I affirmed.

"Sorry ulit and thank you" she said and bid goodbye.

Pumasok na ako ulit sa sasakyan. But my mind is still thinking about that woman, that Althea.

There's really something about her that I can't explain. And there's this big part of me na umaasa sa sinabi niya na sana nga magkita kami ulit.

I'm not a Kapuso fan pero I super love TRMD. I'm straight pero kinikilig talaga ako sa tambalang Jathea ^^

I'm super excited na sa next episode! Will Jade finally give in her feelings towards Althea or will she hold it back? ;)
