Dream turns around very startled as his golden eyelights meet a pair of white ones. "Heya, sorry to scare you." The skeleton kid chuckles with a bright grin.
The skeleton child was about the same height as Dream as he wore a bright blue, fluffy jacket, knee-length boots with the laces untied, a pair of grey goggles, and wore basketball shorts.
"Oh! Um, I-It's okay," Dream mumbles a little as he stepped away from the child. "My name is T.k, what's yours?" T.k asks as he extended his hand towards Dream. "It's Dream." He said hesitantly as Dream grabbed T.k's hand, only for a loud fart sound to suddenly appear.
Dream jumps as he quickly lets go of T.k's hand as he barks out a laugh. "Your reaction is priceless." T.k laughs as Dream huffs with a small pout. "No, it wasn't, and what even was that?" Dream asks as T.k's laugh turns into a light chuckle.
"Oh, that? That was just the whoppy cushion on the hand trick, a 'classic'." T.k chuckles as Dream pouts in response. "Anyways, I noticed you were looking kind of lonely, so I was wondering if you wanted to play with me?" T.k asked with a smile.
"Um," Dream hesitated as he looked back at Ink, who gave him an encouraging grin and a thumbs up. "Sure," Dream finally said as T.k smiles happily. "Cool, you're it!" T.k said with a wide grin as he tags Dream at the arm.
"Wha-HEY!" Dream yells as he starts chasing T.k, who only laughs in response. A few hours went by as T.k and Dream laughed and played around the park, and ironically, for a moment, Dream forgot it was both his and his brother's birthday today.
Ink finally decided that the surprise back in the apartment was ready and called out for Dream. "Dream! It's time to go." Ink said as Dream perks up and turns towards Ink. "Aaaww, do you really have to go?" T.k pouted as he layed belly first on a tree stump.
"Yeah, sorry, T.k." Dream said as he turned towards him. "It's okay, I'll see you around Dream." T.k said with a bright smile as he sat up on the stump. "See you," Dream says with a small wave as he runs towards Ink.
"Did you have fun, Dream?" Ink asks with a smile as Dream holds his hand "Mhm," Dream said with a nod "That's good, also, there is a surprise waiting for you back in the apartment, but shhhh." Ink whispers dramatically as Dream perks up with interest and curiosity.
"A surprise?" Dream asks as Ink shushs him again. "Sshhh, it's supposed to be a surprise, remember, so you need to keep it a secret." Ink loudly whispers as Dream gave him a weird look. 'Isn't the surprise meant for me?' Dream thought in confusion as they eventually approached their apartment door. SURPRISE
"Alright, get ready, Dream, aaannd..." Ink started as he opened the door, and Dream entered their apartment in slight hesitation. "SURPR1$3!!" Both Error and Ink called out as the living room was covered with birthday decorations, presents, and his favorite food freshly made as it was placed on the living room table.
Dream jumps as he looks at the room in awe. "This is for me?" He asks in dispalief as Ink nodded. "Yep, I had Error set up the party while I brought you to the park." Ink says with a grin.
"+h1$ 1$ 0n3 0f +h3 f3₩ +1m3$ +h@+'$ $qu1d$ 1d3@$ @r3n'+ $+up1d, $0 3nj0¥ 1+ k1d." Error says rather bluntly as Ink dramatically gasps and starts to protest.
Dream watches from the sidelines as the two Demigods bicker childishly with on another as nostalgia and sorrow pull at the corners of his soul. Dream wipes away the golden tears from the corners of his sockets before they fall and smiles rather sadly.
"Happy birthday, brother." He said softly as he glanced down on the wooden floor before returning his attention to his bickering caretakers.
