--Glory POV--
Glory strolled through the rainforest, inhaling deeply and spreading her wings so that they hit the sunlight. Grandeur was giving her a day off from being queen, and she was so ready to relax for a bit.
She'd dismissed all her RainWing guards and Deathbringer, even though she knew he was probably still following her. She decided to ignore him and pretend she was by herself.
She let out and sigh and closed her eyes, letting the sun warm her scales. It was going to be a good day.
--Deathbringer POV--
Glory was walking on ahead of him. He was following her not-super-secretly, but he knew that she was probably ignoring him.
She let the sunlight hit her scales, and golden yellow poured over the turquoise of her scales. She was beautiful.
Suddenly, she glanced over her shoulder and spotted Deathbringer. She grinned toothily and her scales shifted into camouflage.
Dammit, Deathbringer cursed. Glory loved playing these games of hide-and-seek.
Deathbringer quickly scaled a tree and looked around at the ground below. He couldn't even see a shimmer in the air- where could Glory be hiding?
--Glory POV--
Glory was hiding right above Deathbringer. She breathed slowly and quietly, trying not to move at all. She knew it sometimes gave him extra work when she hid from him, but she kind of liked the feeling of someone being worried for her.
Glory was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice that she was tipping off the branch until she fell over. Her scales lit up with green fear as she fell- then suddenly, someone caught her.
"Gotcha," Deathbringer smirked. Glory sighed.
"Thanks."
"You owe me one now!" Deathbringer said cheerfully, setting her down on in the clearing. Glory rolled her eyes- then thought of a way she could pay him back without owing him.
Glory smiled and kissed Deathbringer, then took off into the air. "Consider that as payment. Later, hibernator!"
--Deathbringer POV--
Deathbringer may have been in shock, but he could still take an insult. "Hey!" he laughed. "I'm not that slow!"
Glory stuck out her tongue at him and vanished. Deathbringer smiled.
I should catch her more often, he thought.
