Things had changed a lot for the group, after about a couple of days getting the "beach" fixed, they were slowly getting new members. After playing a couple of games, they came to the realization that this is the new norm for everyone. Due to this, they had come up with the set of rules and a number system.

Rule number one: You must always have on a bathing suit. This was implemented to make sure no one would hide any weapons or cards. This made Aguni responsible for any weapons and only his group can have one. They were called the militant.

Rule number two: You are free to live your life exactly as you wish. This meant everyone was able to follow their own rules when it came to drinking, sleeping, and even doing any recreational drugs. The idealist loved this rule, Koharu however, hated it. She thought it was a green light to disrupt order. However, it was Surugu who somehow manage to get Hatter to agree to this.

Rule number 3: Death to all traitors. This one was implemented when a person tried to steal the cards, luckily with the help of Ann, Koharu managed to stop them. This made Hatter more worried about the security system. So he made sure no one can invite others from the game and if they did they would be forced to stay or killed.

Koharu wasn't stupid, she saw slowly how everything, the power, the ability to decided who died or lived, and the status, it was all getting to their heads. Suguru had change the most. It was as he was a complete different person. Aguni and her were the only ones who could control him. However, being in the executives, didn't make it easier for them to keep tract of him.

She knew today marked a special day, her birthday. As much as she would've liked to stay inside and eat cake in her room, her visa was going to expired. So there she was, standing in the balcony watching people party like they weren't stuck in this hell.

"Hey." Ann spoke as she opened the sliding door of Koharu room, "Hope you don't mind, kinda let myself in."

"You're always welcomed here. Surugu, on the other hand..."

"I seriously dont know how you too are related. Like, you're so calm and always try to help when you see fit."

"Yeah, you can asked about that to my team last game..." the younger female replied looking down at the ground.

"Hey," Ann said putting her hand on Koharu shoulder, "You cleared the 8 of hearts! Heart! I know you did what you had to, you're a survivor not a killer."

"Thanks Ann." Koharu smiled, "I think it's time for me to go before everyone leaves for a game."

"You mean, let's make sure we don't get left behind." Ann replied, thinking about the time that actually did happen. Needless to say, they just took the golf cart. Hatter wasn't happy thinking of something could've happened to his goddaughter. He was slightly comforted at the idea of her knowing how to protect herself, but in this world, no one could be safe.

Koharu made her way to collect a number in the bowl. The idea of the number bowl was to spread people out and have them go in different groups each time. Hatter thought this was a good idea to avoid people leaving all at once.

Number 4

"I got number 10." Ann said showing her paper

"Four." Koharu smiled feeling relief that she wasn't in the same group as Ann, just in case it was another heart game.

"See you later?" Ann smiled and pulled her for a hug, "You better make it back for a certain party."

"Ughh, who told you?"

"Surprisingly, it was your dick face of a brother. He thought you would've at least want someone to talk to you since the whole accident...."

"We don't talk about that." Koharu said as she walked to her car.
