After the Almost Kiss

"So Jellal, why did you lie and tell her that you had a fiancee?" Meredy asked.

I was startled. "Y-you heard that?!"

"Why don't you give yourself a break once in a while? Unless you mean to punish yourself?" said Ultear.

"Punishment is the code of Crime Sorciere, isn't it? We decided toghether, remember? We can't be in love with anyone who walks in the light. If Erza's happy, that's good enough for me."

"Even so, why didn't you come up with a better lie?" Meredy said giving me a weird look.

"It's really bad, you think that's cool." Ultear teased.

Give me a break... I will just take a walk.

"Hey guys, I will just take a walk."

So I stand up and started walking.

Before getting out of the cave, I heard Meredy said "Awww. She miss Erza already."

I blushed. Glad that they wont see me blushing.

I just decided to ignore Meredy.

The wind is cold as I walk. I noticed that today is a full moon.

"The moon is so beautiful." I murmered while walking.

I wanted to see the moon up close. It's so bright like her.

I was glad to saw a cliff nearby. So I walk towards it and sit on the rocky ledge.

The moon is really big. I looked at the surroundings and saw plants on the side of the cliff.

It's so familiar.

I realized... this is the same place where Erza and I fell.

Then I thinked about what happened earlier.

That's right Erza doesn't deserve me. She deserves someone better who walks in the path of light. As long as she's happy, that's enough for me.

My train of thoughts stopped when I heard someone call my name.

"Jellal?" That voice... it couldn't be.

I turn back and saw who's calling me. "Erza?"

"Fiancee huh?" I murmered to myself. "You're such a clumsy liar just like before..."

It's not that bad. This is our answer.

Then I heard Happy "Erza."

I looked at Happy's direction. It looks like he's drawing something.

Then he show me what he's drawing. It's a broken heart. That exceed is trying his best not to laugh.

How did that idiot know? Is he spying on us??? That cat knows how to annoy me the most.

So I kicked him so high. I heard that blue exceed scream while flying.

It's serves him right... Maybe I will just take a walk. After all the others are still unlocking their Second Origin.

I started walking. My thoughts drifted back to what happened earlier.

It still hurts... I know that he still wants to punish himself but why does he punish himself by not kissing me? Is hunting dark guilds not enough to atone his sins? It feels like I'm also being punished.
