Cave of Hope

It is that time of year, when tiny droplets of water fell from the sky. The time of year when it was cold but not cold as during the winter.

Erza Scarlet was about to get back to her guild when it begun to rain. Unfortunately, she didn't bring her umbrella with her. She was shivering because she is soaked wet. Luckily, not a far she saw a cave, she run as fast as she could until she reached the cave. She requiped into her normal outfit, which consist of a bluse and a skirt. As she gets inside, she notice that someone was their. It was a man with blue hair?

"E-Erza?" The man said shocked.

The requip mage gets near to the man and realized it was really him, the one she's thinking about right now.

He was surprised to say the least, after all he isn't expecting her to be here, in the same cave. "Jellal," she said as she sit beside him. He notice her shivering, quickly remove his coat and wrapped it around her.

It was warm, she thought and notice the source of warmth was his cloak. The smell of him from his cloak made her blush. She could just wrapped it around her and sleep with it for the rest of her life. "Are you okay?" he ask, snapping her out from her thoughts.

"Yes, thank you," she looked at him and ask, "I was wondering, why are you here alone by yourself? Where's your guildmates?"

"I send them on a mission. I decided to take a break from my mission, so I set camp here, after that it rained and then you came here."

It was true that he has a mission but one of it to see Erza. He just took a glimpse of her so she won't caught him. A glimpse of her is more than enough for him to know she is safe. she is happy.

"So," he begin, "what are you doing here?"

"I'm on my way back from my job when it rained. Luckily, I saw this cave and didn't even realize you were here."

They remained quiet, awkwardness filling the air, only the sound of the rain can be heard. Both of them want to continue their conversation, its just that they can't form the words to speak.

She finally find the courage to speak, "How's your fiancee?" Out of many question she wanted to ask, why that? She mentally scolded herself.

"She is completely fine," he lied, hoping she wouldn't notice, after all he is obvious when he is lying.

But even though, she knows he is lying, she just played along with him. He always been a bad liar.

"Well," she pause for awhile, "You didn't even tell me how does she look like?"

How will he describe her without knowing it was her he was describing? he thought carefully. "Her eyes is so beautiful. Her long hair gracefully flowing with the wind. Her character, she was fierce, strong and wise. Yet beneath her heart protected, she was fragile, lonely and vulnerable. I was the only one can see her in that state, not even her friends."

Did he really just said all of that? she thought, he didn't even look like he was lying at all. It made her heart swell it in pain. "What if he is not kidding about the imaginary fiancee?" she murmured, not realizing Jellal heard it.

His eyes widen, did he just really heard that. "Did you just said that out loud?"

The scarlet mage blushed profusely. Holy Mavis, did he just heard that, she was freaking out.

She was glad when he tapped her arm that she finally stopped from panicking. She looked at him, "Yes."

Guilt flowed over him as he saw her so vulnerable. "I'm sorry."

"I understand."

"I'm sorry Erza," he said guiltily.

Silence filled the air. Minutes pass until Jellal decided to speak.

"I didn't lie about describing her," He begin that caught her attention, "I was referring to you."

Her eyes widen, surprise, tears starting to flow from her eyes. Her heart is beating uncontrollably. It didn't hit her that this day would come.

"I'm sorry," he said wiping her tears away, "I didn't mean to-" He was interrupted by Erza's lips on his.

The kiss was insanely good that the both of them can't sleep just thinking of it. They would have continued it but the need for oxygen, so they broke apart. They look at each other, panting, smiling at each other like idiots.

"Shut up, already." she mumbled before pulling him for an another kiss.
