Chapter 2

At the mansion

Kirk, the childhood friend of Sam was asked by grandma to visit her in the mansion and she also has something to tell him.

Grandma, kirk called.

Kirk, good you came. Sit down. I will need to talk to you about something.

The servant immediately put a teacup in front of kirk and he thanked the servant.

He poured himself a green tea.

Kirk I called you here to ask you something.

What is it Grandma?

What do you think about Sam?

Kirk was surprised and he could not speak immediately.

About Sam? Sam is my good friend. We argue but we are good friends.

Kirk do you only see her as a friend? Are you not attracted to my granddaughter?

Kirk is really surprised why grandma asked him that.

Ahm...grandma... Sam is beautiful, smart, and very lovely. I will be so stupid not to be attracted to her.

So why not you two get married so that you can run my businesses as a couple.

Kirk almost spill his tea.

Kirk is secretly in a relationship with Nita. His college classmate and owner of the marketing firm that is with competition with Sam. He is really keeping the relationship a secret because he knows his parent will not approve and Sam will feel betrayed about it.

Grandma, Sam will not approve of it. You know her personality she will not allow this.

She will not have any choice. She needs to listen to me and follow my order. I know what is best for her. I will talk to her and we will arrange the wedding. I will talk to your parents.

Kirk could not refuse or even answer grandma.

Kirk excused him self. He lied to grandma that he will be attending a meeting but the truth is he really doesn't feel good being at the mansion with grandma.

Grandma immediately called Sam.

Sam, you need to come to the mansion. I need to talk to you about something important.

Sam is hesitant and is going to make an excuse but to no avail.

No choice, Sam drove off to the mansion.

Grandma was at the garden.

Sam sat opposite where grandma is.

The servant serve tea to Sam but she refuse it.

Grandma what is this all about?

I talked to Kirk earlier and I decided that you two need to get married already to manage the business.

What?! Sam raise her voice because she was shocked of what grandma told her.

Whats the problem Sam? You knew each other way too long already and he is a good man with a good family background. We need him for the company.

But grandma I already told you the last time that I want to consentrate on my own business.

Your business that is not generating enough. How will you live your life with that small business of yours.

Grandma please, don't talked about my business like that. I am doing everything to gain your approval and I know its not easy but I will get there.

I am not asking you, I am telling you that you will marry kirk. I will look into the wedding details. I will talk with his family.

Grandma, please. Don't do this to me.

Sam was trying to think of something that will change her grandma's decision.

I will have a deal with you grandma.

I am going to introduce a new campaign. More on a digital side. If this campaign will not click then I will obey your demand to me. But if my campaign will be successful and generate big, then you will not be able to command me to marry kirk or even anybody you like for me to marry. I will decide for myself already.

Grandma did not respond immediately.

ok that is a deal. Generate a million then I will not command you anything after. But if you fail you will push through with the wedding.

Sam just nod but deep inside she was really worried already.

After a few minutes more talking to grandma, Sam asked permission already to leave.

While driving Sam was really pissed about her grandma's command. She really hate it everytime she does it to her.

All night she could not sleep. She was thinking of a campaign that will generate her more income.

And she is not going to allow to be married to Kirk. He may be her friend but Sam is not into him.
