"Don't you think it's a little late? I mean, it's basically two o'clock at night. You also didn't call and let her know you'd be here"

"I wanted to be the first one to say something to her" I laughed as I waved a hand at Hailee

"You could've done it earlier" She glared at me through the small light that was out here "I bet she's asleep right now, let's just go back to the house and sleep, just like she is"

"Fuck that" I rolled my eyes while fumbling around with my keys, trying to find the one specific key that Lili gave me for her house

"What?" Hailee asked. She heard exactly what I said, but was a little shocked

"Fuck... That" I said slowly as I turned around to look at her "It's my girlfriends freaking birthday, I'd be dammed if I don't spend at least every minute of it with her. Ands that's because...

"You love her" Hailee chuckled as she finished my sentence

"Precisely" I pointed at her then looked back down at the keys "Where the fuck is that key?"

"Maybe..

"Ah, here it is" I laughed as I held the key as if I were holding a trophy. Maybe it has just as much meaning

"Alright.. Well I guess I'll see you at home whenever" Hailee chuckled as she slapped her thighs and backed away

"See you later Superstar" I yelled as I put the key in the door, unlocking it quietly

"See you later Paper Pusher" She yelled back with laugher as she made it back to her car

"Eh" I nodded my head side to side

"Needs work" She waved her hand at me "I'll work on it while you're gone"

"I sure hope so" I laughed as I waved my other hand

"Yeah yeah" She waved me off because she was done yelling back, as was I

"Drive safe" I said back but she probably didn't hear since she was already in the car and starting to drive off

Now let's hope I didn't wake Lili

Once I done watching Hailee drive away I finally went into the house, quickly, but quietly

None of the lights she usually had on weren't on so that's a good sign, but maybe that's because she thought I was an intruder and she's lurking in some dark corner with a bat

After sneaking around certain parts of the house I headed for her room, which should have been my first place to go

When I got into her room I quickly noticed her lying there, sound asleep with her phone in hand

"This is why you didn't answer" I laughed quietly as I took the phone from her hand and put it on her nightstand "Alrighttttt, scoot" I started repeatedly pushing her until she rolled over onto the bed fully "Perfect" I silently cheered as I skipped to my side then slid under the blanket and right next to her "Liliiii, hey"

"Hm?" She hummed in her oh so adorable tone

"It's someone's birthday todayyyy"

"Hm"

"It's your birthday" I laughed as I poked her a few times

"Hm" She hummed as she moved to lay her head on me

"Hey I was thinking... How about we go to a few places today to celebrate? I know you aren't all too keen on public appearances so that's why I'm asking. If you don't wanna go out I can always order food and we can relax by the pool, I also looked up a cake recipe and I'm not gonna lie... I think you're gonna be impressed"
