EPILOGUE 2 [HEAT]: The Gift

It was their first Christmas together after being separated for five years.

They had plans with family for tomorrow, which was Christmas Day, but today was all theirs.

Noeul wanted to make this day special and memorable for them.

Neither of them celebrated this as a religious holiday as there were other ones that are more personally meaningful, but Christmas has become a festive time coming so close to New Year.

Plus, they used it as an excuse to buy presents for Boss' little sister.

It was also special because both of their families celebrated jointly, usually at Boss parents' home for dinner.

Over the past three months, they had been re-discovering each other.

They picked up exactly where they left off - for some things- like their taste in movies, sports, food, and music. For other things, they were slowly finding out new things about each other.

In the past, Boss had always been different with Noeul than with anyone else.

In public, with peers or fans, he was confident and cautious having learned to channel his character, Phayu's demeanor with steely-eyed glances, sexy smiles, and more of an alpha male persona.

But in private, with Noeul he was goofy, giggly, and childishly affectionate.

When they hung out together in 'play' mode he was a very different person than what most people would recognize. It was a vulnerable side that Noeul adored because it was something only he got to experience up close. This was something that he didn't want to lose between the two of them.

Boss had been the main caretaker in their relationship when they were together before. He always showered Noeul with affection and anticipated his needs even before he was aware of what he needed. He was constantly doing little acts of service, being romantic in subtle ways, or even satisfying him physically before himself in the bedroom. Noeul had been happy in the past to let Boss take the lead in this way as it made him feel so very loved and secure, things that he craved for himself.

But now that they had matured a bit more, Noeul was much more confident in himself and determined about how he wanted their relationship to evolve.

He wanted them to be equal partners in every way. He wanted to take care of Boss in the same way he took care of him, he wanted to romance him just as he was always romanced, and he wanted to satisfy every physical need in him and discover new things together so that they always remained excited for each other.

So, he had planned certain things to do for Boss and to do together during this holiday time when they were off from work. He had a date night planned that he was really looking forward to as well as something special for New Year's Eve. They were going to be able to actually spend substantive time together after a long time.
