It all started when Henry Emily and William Afton opened Fredbears Family Diner. In an attempt to save money, William and Henry create these suits that double as both Animatronics and mascot suits. One modeled after Fredbear and another one called Spring Bonnie. The issue with this is that, when being used as mascot suits, these devices called springlocks need to be cranked up to clear out the endoskeleton parts, making room for the person to hop inside.
This seems genius, until you learn that the slightest jitter will set the springlocks off, impaling anyone inside. I'm sure this won't be an issue though, right?
