Chapter 4-Fight

Wednesday sat in the hallway waiting to see Dr Kinbott. She was already grumpy because Mrs Weems personally brought her here which was going to make her plan to escape harder. Suddenly the door slammed open and an angry Delilah stormed out stomping her feet as she fumed,Violet walked beside her. Her eyes were as black as the night sky. Delilah had told Wednesday about her powers and how her eyes change colour the same day she'd arrived at Nevermore.Wednesday watched the girl. 'That's a new look' She thought as she stood up wondering into the room Delilah had just exited.
Delilah walked into the coffee shop, pulling out a notepad. She'd been here so many times that she was now able to order coffee without Enid having to do it for her. She stomped up to the counter to see Tyler stood there a smirk on his face. Her and Tyler did not get along whatsoever.
"Usual?" He mused. He knew how to push her buttons.
'What do you think dumbass!' She wrote on the notepad she'd brought with her.
"I see the cat has still got your tongue" he chuckled.
She glared at him and slammed her fist down on the counter hard. This didn't bother Tyler and he just laughed at her as he handed her the oat latte she ordered. She sat at a booth and pulled out her sketch pad. Violet layed on the floor at Delilah's feet. She started sketching trying to calm herself down. Oh how she hated having to see Dr Kinbott.
"Holy crap! Do you make a habit of scaring the hell out of people" Delilah heard Tyler yell and turned to see Wednesday stood in front of him. She smirked finding Tyler's shock quite funny. She went back to her sketching. Not long after she felt the presence of someone sat in front of her. She looked up to see her goth roommate.
"Hello" Wednesday muttered watching the timid girl. She could see the slight shake in her hands as she sketched and the deep frown lines on her forehead that she hadn't seen before. Delilah waved back to Wednesday.
"That Galpin kid is taking me to the train station today" Wednesday told the girl. She noticed the brunette's eyes flash purple for a mere second before going back to blue. Was she sad? Wednesday questioned herself.
'That's....nice' Delilah signed looking down again.
"What's some Nevermore freaks doing out in the wild?" Delilah heard someone mutter as she looked up.
"Oh look it's that weird mute kid. Who let you back out?" Another boy chuckled.
Wednesday watched as Lily's eyes turned black. Was she scared? Or just angry?
"This is out booth!" They spoke sharply.
"Why are you three dressed like religious fanatics?" Wednesday asked calmly.
'I'm...just gonna go. You should come too Wednesday' Delilah signed looking at the girl with pleading eyes. Delilah stood up about to walk away before she was shoved hard and she hit the ground with a thud. Her eyes watered as the boys chuckled but she refused to let the tears fall. Wednesday's eyes softened as she watched Delilah.
"Anyways back to you! We're Pilgrims" one of the boys hissed.
"Potato, po-tah-to" Wednesday muttered expressionless.
"We work at pilgrim world" a boy continued as he flipped over a flyer that sat on the table. Delilah didn't dare move from her spot on the floor.
"It takes a special kind of stupid to devote an entire theme park to zealots responsible for mass genocide" Wednesday mumbled not interested in the conversation.
"My dad owns pilgrim world. Who you calling stupid?" One of the boys asked.
"If the buckled shoe fits" Wednesday mused.
Tyler interrupted
"Guys,back off"
"Stay out of this galpin" said the boys
"Yes,stay out of this" Wednesday agreed and stood up.
"So tell me, freak. You ever been with a normie?" One of the boys asked.
"I've never found one that could handle me" Wednesday told him before leaning in and whispering 'boo' the boy jumped back and the other two started fighting the goth girl. She punched,kicked,kneed. Delilah watched in awe as she stood up. Before feeling a strong grip around her neck. She clawed at the hands squeezing her throat but it did nothing. The hands were gone mere seconds after they were placed around Delilahs neck. She saw Wednesday punch the boy and they were all on the floor.
'Thank you' Delilah signed as she dusted herself off. Wednesday gave the girl a nod.
"so where'd you learn those Kung fu moves?" Tyler asked shocked.
"My uncle taught me. He spent 5 years in a Tibetan monastery" Wednesday explained.
"Was he monk?"
"Prisoner" Wednesday replied just as Sheriff Galpin walked in.
"Dad" Tyler spoke.
"Tyler, what the hell's going on in here?" He asked looking around.
"They were harassing customers and she put them in their place" Tyler told his dad pointing at Wednesday.
"This little thing took down three boys? Did you help her?" Sheriff Galpin asked bewildered.
"Dad I swear, I wasn't involved" Tyler spoke again.
Mrs Weems walked in.
"Apologies Sheriff. These two slipped away from me. Come on Miss Addams, Miss Reese, time to go" she chimed in and both girls obeyed following Miss Weems.
"Wait a minute, hang on" sheriff galpin stipped Wednesday.
"You're an Addams? Don't tell me Gomez Addams is your father?"
Wednesday nodded.
"That man belongs behind bars for murder. Guessing' the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm gonna keep my eye on you. You too Reese and that mutt of yours" he told them a serious look on his face. Mrs Weems took them out of the coffee shop. In the car on the way back the girls were lectured.
"Wednesday it's your first day and you're already on Sheriff Galpin's radar. Wish I could say I was surprised" Mrs Weems told Wednesday.
"What did he mean about my father?" Wednesday questioned.
"I have no idea,but word of advice. Stop making enemies and start making a few friends. You're gonna need them" Weems told the goth.
"Delilah is my friend" Wednesday muttered and a smile spread across the timid girls face.
"Ah Delilah, yes I've been meaning to talk to you. Dr Kinbott told me something" Mrs Weems told the brunette who rolled her eyes a frown appeared on her face as she looked out of the window.
"You can't keep avoiding talking to her about things. You need to let out the truth" Weems continued.
'I don't have to do anything' Delilah signed her eyes going black. Mrs Weems shook her head and turned back to face the road noticing the crash.
"Oh looks like an accident, I hope the drivers okay"
"He's dead" Wednesday muttered as Delilah signed.
"Broke his neck" Wednesday continued and Delilah signed the same thing. Wednesday looked at the timid girl and wondered how she also knew.She looked confused on how she knew that herself.
"How can you girls tell from this angle?" Weems asked confused.
'Huh I don't know how I knew that' Delilah signed her eyes wide. Weems said nothing after that. Delilah didn't go straight back to the dorm,instead she went on a walk until nightfall. Once she walked back to the dorm she could hear music being played from down the hall but by the time she arrived at the door it stopped. She wondered through it and out towards the window seeing her two roommates stood out there. She heard Enid's soft sobs.
"Because I'm upset!" She heard Enid yell as she stepped through the window onto the balcony.
"Haven't you ever cried,or are you above that too?" Enid snapped at the goth. Delilah walked up to the pair listening carefully. She listened to Wednesday talk about the once time she cried and felt a pang in her chest.
"Your secrets safe with me" Enid spoke up. Delilah stomped her foot to get her two roommates attention.
'Us' she sighed as she pouted and Enid chuckled apologising.
"I still think your weird as shit, though" she chuckled and Delilah agreed.
"The feeling is incredibly mutual" Wednesday muttered looking between both girls.
"How would you two like your room back? You just need to show me how to use your computer" Wednesday added. Enid smiled and nodded while Delilah's eyes flashed purple again. Wednesday and Enid both noticed this but chose not to say anything.
'I'm going out' she signed before walking off not waiting for a reply.
"What's up with her?" Wednesday mumbled watching the brunettes retreating figure.
"She's probably just sad that you're leaving" Enid mumbled before skipping into the dorm.
