"Okay, so I have a plan." I say as me and mason walk around the school. "Okay what is it?" He asks. "We need to separate Tracy and Evie, right? And you want her to get the help she needs, correct?" I ask. "Correct." "Okay, so we need to tell Evie's guardian, about everything Evie is doing. Because if we tell your mom, and she tries to help Tracy, it's not gonna work. We need to work slowly." I explain. "You know, that's not that bad of an idea." He says. "But, how are we gonna get someone to believe us?" He adds. "We cant, but Evie can." I says. "What do you mean?" He asks. I stop walking and look at him. "Well, I'm supposed to hang out with that at Evies place after school, and let's just say I have a little thing I'm gonna do." I say. "Great, we'll tell me about it later?" He asks. "You know I will." I say before I turn to walk away. "Kenz, wait a sec." I hear mason say. I turn around. "What's up?" I ask. "I just wanted to say that, the past couple of days we've been hanging out and shit, they've been really fun, and I'm starting to really enjoy being around you." He says. Oh. My. God. "I've really enjoyed hanging out with you too." I say, feeling my face get red. "Okay, see you later." He says before walking away.

What the fuck. What. No way he just said that. Does mason like me?

I rush to the bathroom, all of these thoughts are flooding my brain, if I freak out I really don't need other people to see.

I walk to the mirror. I fix my hair and lip gloss to take my mind off of the conversation mason and I just had. I pull my attention away from my hair when I see the door open through the mirror. "Hey kenz." Evie says walking over to the mirror next to me. "Hey." "I'm sorry about the other day, I was kind of being a bitch, you don't really think I fucked Tracy's life up right?" She asks. "No." I lie. "I was just mad about how you were reacting, I'm sorry too." I add, trying to make my lie seem convincing. "Well I didn't want you to think we weren't friends any more, your still welcome to come over later." She says. "Okay, I'll be there." I say giving her a smile. "Thanks kenz." She says before hugging me.

The second Brooke walks out of Evies room, Evie pulls something out from behind her window curtain. Cocaine. Of course. "You want some?" Evie asks waving the bag in front of my face. "I'm good, my mom is back home and she would beat my ass." I say trying to make up and excuse. "More for us then." Tracy says grabbing the bag out of Evies hand.

I watch from Evies bed as they straighten the lines up on a school book. "Isn't that your cousins?" I ask pointing at the shoes on her floor. "Oh yeah, those are Brooke's. She said she needs them today but I'm sure she will come and get them before she leaves. "Hey I have to pee." Tracy says hitting Evies arm. They both get up and go to the bathroom leaving me alone in her room. Perfect. I get up, cautiously to make sure they don't hear me. Okay, it's Evie. She had to have more coke somewhere in here. I start to look under neat her bed. I look over at the books next to her window. I walk over and pull out a small bag from in-between them. Perfect. It's full still. I hear them starting to leave the bathroom. I quickly walk over to the shoes that belong to Brooke. I put the bag in the shoes and quickly jump back onto the bed.

"Hey kenz, I'm leaving." Tracy says sticking her head in the room. "Bye tracy." I say. I hear the door close and Evie comes running back in. She jumps onto the bed next to me. "You know, I feel like me and you never really hang out that much." She says, clearly high. "Well your always with tracy so." I respond. "She's the one that never invites you anywhere with us, she thinks there's something going on between mason and you and it's really pissing her off because it's her brother." She says with a slight giggle at the end of her sentence. "What? There's nothing going on between me and mason. We're just friends." I respond. "Well did you tell her that? Because she doesn't think so." She replies. "Of course i fucking told her that. Obviously she didn't believe me." I say slightly raising my voice. "Well from another persons point of view it honestly kind of does look like there's something between you two, like you guys are always hanging out, and I mean like come on kenz, he kissed you like two days ago." She responds. "Not on the lips. It was simply just a kiss on the cheek. It means nothing." I say. "Well to Tracy it means a lot. She thinks you guys are like fucking or something behind her back." Evie says breaking out into a laugh. "Evie, that's so fucking gross." I say playfully hitting her but also starting to laugh. "I mean hey, you at-least gotta admit, mason is hot." She says. "I mean I guess-" i says before getting interrupted by Brooke walking into the room.

Honestly it was kind of nice just talking to Evie, it kinda of makes me feel bad for what I'm doing to her but I'm doing it to protect Tracy.

"There they are." Brooke says grabbing the shoes. And there falls the coke. Right onto the floor infront of Brooke. "Shit." I hear Evie whisper. "Evie, what's that?" Brooke says. "I don't know." She responds. "Is that yours?" Brooke asks her. "No, it's not mine or kenzies." She says defending me, probably knowing Brooke would have assumed it mine. "I knew that Tracy girl was a bad influence, it's hers isn't it?" She asks. Me and Evie exchange a look. She looks hurt. I can tell she doesn't want to blame it on Tracy, but she has really no choice unless she owns up to it, which I know she wouldn't do.

"Yeah." She says softly. "It's Tracy's." She adds.  Brooke let's put a laugh, but not a laugh like she thinks something is funny. "That's it. No more hanging out with her. Tomorrow we're going there and I'm going to have a chat with her mother and Mackenzie I think it's time you leave." Brooke says to me.

"Come on." Evie says getting off her bed and grabbing my hand. "How did that get there?" I ask, knowing I put it there. "I don't know. I didn't put it there and I know you didn't." She says. I can tell she's about to cry. She loves Tracy. But right now she thinks Tracy did it, so she's probably heartbroken. "I love you kenz." She says hugging me. "I don't know what's gonna happen after Brooke talks to Mel. But I just want you to know that im sorry." She adds while starting to cry. Now I feel bad. "It's okay." I say hugging her back.
