The Whole church screamed as they watch Elbert's body drop, Jacky quickly grabbed Denise and took her into the back room, Damon had completely disappeared
"Oh my god !" Mattie yelled , Mattie Dorinda Karen & Twinkie ran up to the stage
"Call the ambulance!" Mattie cried
Half of the church members ran out in fear , Blood was running slowly from Elbert's head
"No Daddy don't you leave me" Dorinda cried as she held her fathers hand
"Who could do something like this!" Mattie yelled,
"He's gone" Deacon Charles said and all you could hear was Mattie's screams
Karen & Twinkie held their mother as they all cried, The ambulance quickly rushed in
"Dorinda ?" Dr Loveland called me continuously but i couldn't respond, tears ran from my eyes .
"Dorinda baby" my mother said , i quickly shook my head and rubbed my eyes "I'm sorry, im just thinking about that day" i said
"Dorinda we understand, take your time with healing from your fathers death .. i know you haven't officially healed" Dr loveland said
Jacky sucked her teeth "Jacky may i ask you why you are so unsympathetic when we talk about your fathers death ?" Dr Loveland asked
"I healed from it a long time ago , they should too" Jacky said
"It's easy for you to heal when you are the reason for the hurt" I quickly grabbed my purse and stormed out the door
Dr loveland quickly rushed behind me "Dorinda please come back , i know your sisters have caused a lot of pain in your life.. but i can help your family get through this" Dr loveland held my hand
"It's just hard" i cried , "I know, I know Dorinda that's why i'm here to help" she helped me walk back into the room and my mother instantly hugged me
"Okay we are gonna continue for a bit and we can end for today , i know this has everyone under a lot of stress and pain" Dr Loveland said
"I want to bring this over to your Mother, what was your thought on Dorinda's sexual abuse ? did you believe it?" Dr loveland asked
"I did, my husband could tell Dorinda was acting weird . she had marks and bruises everywhere and she definitely wasn't getting it from us .. so my husband caught on very fast" My mother explained
"I could tell someone was hurting my baby, i just didn't know who until this one night Elbert got so upset and began arguing with my daughters boyfriend, then the next day he passed " My mother shook her head trying not to cry
"It was too soon " Denise tried to say quietly, Jacky continued sitting there with a frown on her face "That's what i mean, we talk about our fathers death and Jacky sits there like he was never here" I rolled my eyes
"Y'all need to get over it! can we end this session for today ? i'm tired of hearing the crying" Jacky grabbed her purse
"I think that's enough for today , thank you guys for coming today i'm really proud of you all releasing some of that pain so far, i'll see you all next week" Dr loveland hugged us tightly and we all left
"Get home safe Dorinda" My mother kissed my cheek and i hugged her tightly, i quickly got into my car
"I need a blunt" i said to myself, i drove home in silence
