The next day, Emmett arrived at Sara Beth's to take her out to breakfast. He felt different for some reason today. He knocked on the door causing the door to open. He smiled at the beautiful short blonde in front of him. "Hi." She says. "What brings you by?"

"Thought I could give you a ride to school."

Sara smiled. "Sure." She says. "I would like to spend time with you and get to know you."

Emmett smiled as this woman was everything to him. He held his hand out causing her to take it. The two walked together discussing what they should this weekend together. They were going to start with their plans on getting to know one another this week and the weekend is to see how things go.

When they got to the Jeep, Emmett opened the door and picked Sara Beth up and in the Jeep. She laughed as he did that.

Arriving at school, Emmett pulled into his parking spot and turned off the Jeep. "So as you can tell it's just me."

"Where are your parents?"

"I left."

Emmett got out of the car and shut the driver side door before going to the passenger side. Everyone watched as he helped Sara Beth out. "Why?"

"I wanted to start fresh." She tells him. "You can out me down."

"Sorry."

The other Cullens watched as they walked into school talking about something else. Alice smiled as she already knew this was going to happen. Emmett looked at the short girl beside him and smiled. He was going to have a fun time with this woman. No matter what her height was, she was beautiful and she is his mate.

Sometime that day, Sara Beth was sitting in the cafeteria eating her lunch. Emmett saw her reading and walked over just to see Mike sitting down. He glared, but watched. "So, you and Cullen."

"He is nothing like you, Mike." She tells him. "Now, do me a favor."

"Anything."

"Buzz off."

Emmett walked over and put his hand on her shoulder causing her to look up. "I thought you were waiting by your locker."

"I was, but I got hungry." She tells him. "Then this fly can't seem to take a hint."

Mike left causing Sara Beth to laugh. Emmett sat down beside her causing her to look at him. "I'm sorry I wasn't there. My brother needed to talk to me about something."

"About me?"

"No." He says. "Edward knows not to go down that road." He moved her blonde hair making her smile. "There's something about you that has me wanting to know you more."

"I want to know you more too." She tells him.

The other three watched as Emmett pulled the short girl closer to him. They saw how he was acting with her and how she was laughing. "She will love him for the person he is. Even the vampire side."

"Really?"

Alice nodded as Edward looked at the blonde reading her mind. It was pure and innocent. No questions about Emmett's eyes or why he wasn't eating. Just good thoughts about him. "She's not curious." He says. "I think we need to know her."

"Agree." Jasper says. "She's not like the other humans here."

Alice didn't say a word as she went to their usual table. They sat down watching Emmett and Sara Beth.
