"I want to tell Sara Beth everything." Emmett tells them. "I can't go another day without telling her who I really am. This secret. It's killing me. I never thought that I would meet someone that would have me changing my mind about things."

Carlisle looked at them. "I think that you should be able to tell her. You asked for permission and from day one, she has not shown she was curious. So, as the leader and your father, you can tell her, but Edward, if she does come, you better be doing the same."

Alice didn't say much causing Jasper to look at her. Emmett walked out of the room as he really needed to speak to Sarabeth about this. Hopefully, she wasn't scared.

Sara Beth was getting everything ready for a movie night with Emmett. Things were going so well between them, but she loved every bit of it. Walking to the door as she heard the doorbell, Sarabeth opened the door to see Emmett, but she could tell something was off. "Emmett, is something wrong?"

"There's something we need to talk about."

The blonde nodded as she moved back and let him walk in. Shutting the door, Sara Beth walked over and hugged Emmett from behind. Emmett smiled as he loved his short mate. She was caring, loving, and funny. The best of her was the fact she knew he had something to tell her and this was serious. "You can tell me anything."

"Sara Beth, I'm a vampire."

When nothing was said, Emmett knew she was afraid, but she never unwrapped her arms from around him. He felt a kiss on his back causing him to smile. "I'm not upset." She tells him. "I'm not even scared because you never hurt me or put me in danger." She moved away and walked around him to look at his face. "You're still the Emmett I started to fall in love with, but more, unique."

"How did I get lucky with a mate like you?"

"Fate."

"Yeah." He says leaning down to kiss her. "Let's get this movie started."

"Deal." She says standing on the tips of her toes to kiss him.

Emmett chuckled as he picked her up and carried her to the couch as she laughed. This was the life that they wanted. Love, laughter and peace, but none of them knew the danger that was coming.
