I don't know what happened, but I can hear Sharmaine crying.
"Sharmaine?" Why are you crying? I said to her.
"Somebody said that I am faking my illness..."
"You are sick? To be honest, I think you look fine..." I replied.
"Have you see me take any medication?" Sharmaine asked me.
"No, I was in your room the whole day last night."
"Okay." Sharmaine replied, with a gloomy looking face.
"Sir, may I excuse myself to the counseling office?" Sharmaine asked.
"Suit yourself." The teacher replied.
"Sharmaine, what is a counseling office?" I asked.
"I usually to calm myself there, there are nice teachers who cheer me up there."
"Wow, when I was a student, there was nothing but a teacher's lounge you can't go in without permission." I told her.
As we go in, one of the teachers said: "Welcome in Sharmaine, why are you crying dear?"
Sharmaine told everything about what her bad classmate did. I was kind of angry to whoever did this to her. Then the other counselor came to Sharmaine's and asked: "did you take your medicine yet?" The counselor asked.
"I took it." Sharmaine replied.
"Okay then. Just take a rest here, you can go back to class if you are stable enough."
"Isabelle, you know what? You always cheer me up when I see your adorable smiling face." Sharmaine replied.
"I also feel great when I get to see you." I replied.
" Hey Isabelle, you know why I have to take medicine?"
"Why? You look fine to me." I replied.
"I am mentally ill, I have depression, it affected my life so bad I have to take medicine to stabilize myself."
"I am so sorry... I hope you will get well soon." I said.
"And also, I don't really have any friends, to me, you are my only friend." Sharmaine said.
"Before I used to have this friend named Eva, but she ignored my for three whole weeks for no reason, I tried to ask her why happened, but instead she blamed everything on me, and after that, she ditched me and I developed depression..."
I saw Sharmaine teary eyed, as she tried to hug me. I felt comfortable, and relaxed. The feeling is like hugging your bestie when they are having a bad day.
