Distractions

Vada pov.

I woke up with my head in Mia's chest and my arms and legs closed around her. I felt safe there, but I noticed she was waking up.
"Good morning Mia." I said with a smile as she stirred awake.
"Good morning Vada. You okay? How are you feeling from yesterday?" She asked the questions quickly.
"I'm okay," I said while adjusting my legs so they weren't wrapped around her hips.
"I'm glad you found me, I only really trust you with my unconscious, possibly dying body." I laughed out the last part.
She laughed too, then said,
"I feel very honored."
I smiled and raised my eyebrows at her when my stomach loudly growled.
"Ugh, I'm sorry I haven't eaten since 2 pm yesterday!!" I complained.
"Omg, let's order food then!" She said, pointing out the obvious to me.
I nodded aggressively to make her laugh and I pulled out my phone to order pizza.
"Sooo do you want cheese?" I asked
"Hmmm, I could go for Hawaiian if you're not one of those people who hate Hawaiian pizza..."
"Are you kidding? I love Hawaiian pizza!" I said, surprised.
I ordered it and noticed it would get here in 25 minutes. I showed Mia the phone and she nodded.
"Wanna go into the hot tub while we wait?" She said with a smirk.
"Uhh, duh." Did she even have to ask me?
She practically jumped out of bed and I followed with no hesitation. She looked through her swimsuit drawer and she tossed me a tiny black bikini.
"I know you wore a shirt last time, but I'd feel bad if we'd ruin another one of your shirts when I have a bikini you could use."
She said, biting her lip slightly.
I shrugged and replied, "Okay, thank you!"
I slowly walked over to the bathroom. I turned and slowly shut the door. While In the process of doing so, I accidentally saw Mia taking her shirt off. While I put on the bikini I thought about how gorgeous her body was. I know I told her we shouldn't ruin anything but I've been wanting her more since that one night. I tried to shake it off for the time being, I don't want her to notice how flustered I'd be when I see her in that bikini!
I knocked on the bathroom door and yelled, "can I come in? Have you changed?"
"Yeah, come in!" She yelled back.
I opened the door slowly and everything came crashing down when I saw her. She was so beautiful, it was impossible not to stare. She was wearing a red tied up bikini and god it looked amazing on her...
"Wow, you look really good in that," I said while looking up at her.
"Ha, thank you! Why so surprised now? You've seen me in a bikini before."
She was right I have... why was it so different this time around?
"Oh, I don't know," I said nervously laughing.
"Well, you look really good too for the record." She looked down as she said that.
Butterflies filled my stomach and god was I flustered. I managed to squeak out a thank you but it was hard. She took my hand and dragged me out to the hot tub. She stepped in first but not without turning around to grab my hand and lead me in. I blushed hard when she did this, god why did she have to be so hot? When we got in we kinda just sat there relaxing for a bit when I decided to splash her just a little bit.
"Hey! You'll pay for that!" She yelled while smiling widely.
She splashed me 10 times harder than I did to her, so I decided to get physical.
I grabbed her shoulders and tried to throw her down into the water, but I wasn't strong enough. I suddenly felt her hands creep around my waist. I gasped as she swam with me to the edge of the hot tub. She held my head down on the hot tub's edge and she spoke quietly into my ear,
"I win." She whispered. She let go of my head and I looked at her breathing heavily. I looked into her eyes before my eyes looked at her lips. She did the same to me but just when I thought it would happen,
"Ding!" My phone pinged, signaling the pizzas here.
"We'll finish this later. I wanna win next time." I said as I got out of the hot tub smirking at her. I was secretly super frustrated. I really really wanted to kiss her, but of course, the pizza had to arrive right at that moment.
Mia grabbed the pizza from the front door and we sat down on lounge chairs near the pool.
I, of course, started to dig into the pizza.
"Omg this is so good," I said with my mouth full.
"I know omg," Mia agreed with me, her mouth also full.
We both ate 2 slices and we were full.
Mia suddenly looked at me and she started to speak,
"Vada, I think I might be like, not straight."
She sounded really nervous while saying this and honestly I was so happy she wasn't straight because honestly, I don't think I am either.
"Hey, that's okay," I replied, "I'm really happy you trusted me enough to tell me." I put my hand on her thigh for comfort in case she was stressed.
"Thanks Vada, she put her hand on mine and we just smiled at each other for a bit.
"Hey we should shower, well, at least I should. My hair is crusty after the hot tub," Mia laughed.
"Oh yeah I am completely chill with that," I was getting uncomfortable with my hair as well, so I was into it.
"Okay well, do you wanna shower first?" She asked.
"Oh yeah, sure."
We got up and walked back to her room.

I came out of the shower and was about to put my clothes on when I heard Mia scream. I quickly put the towel back over me and struggled to wrap it around me as I slammed open the door.
"WHAT ARE YOU OKAY?" I screamed loudly.
"OMG VADA YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO COME OUT OF THE SHOWER I'M OKAY IT'S JUST A SPIDER!" Mia yelled back in reply, laughing a little bit.
I froze where I stood and I rolled my eyes and walked back to the bathroom.
"Wait! Before you go back in, I found some clothes that are fresh and clean. Don't worry, it's an oversized tee with gray sweats."
"Omg thank you so much." I grabbed the clothes and I blew her a kiss before walking back into the bathroom.
I put on the tee and sweats and omg, I loved them. The tee was adorable and it was totally my style. I opened the door back to Mia's room quickly again and I started to speak to her,
"I love this outfit so much, you're telling me you wore this?"
"Yup, I wore that fit a lot during dance practice. Hey, you can keep it, it looks way better on you than me, it's your style."
My face lit up and I yelled my reply,
"YES PLEASE!"
"haha well enjoy it, don't ruin it!!" She laughed.
"I would never," I replied, hanging my mouth open.
She got up, grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom to shower.
"Byeeee enjoy," I said, smirking.
"Oh, I will."
