In my short 22 years of living, I had never felt as powerful as I did in those moments. Hearing the strength and power in Grayson's voice seemed to stir something inside me. This was our kingdom, not Graham King's. He was a tyrant, and a treacherous bastard. He had hurt me, emotionally, physically, and mentally. He hurt my mate, the two people other than my biological parents that I thought of as my mom and dad, my siblings, and best friends. Acheron and Grayson were walking ahead, Sebastian, Preston, and Blaine following close behind. I was walking behind them with the twins, who were on either side of me. Grayson and Acheron were quietly discussing the plan, which started with getting Diane and Emma off the third floor.
We all ran to the third floor, Acheron killing any guards who tried to stop us. A few had surrendered at the sight of Acheron and Grayson, following in line to help protect them, showing their loyalty to the true leader of the realm. Acheron made quick work of the guards standing at the door leading to where Diane and Emma were, easily breaking the lock, and stepping over the dead bodies. We all piled in, Sebastian immediately running into one of the bedrooms, taking Diane and Emma into his arms.
"My Love." he whispered in Diane's ear, holding her tightly to his chest. Emma had stepped back, letting them have their moment, only to be pulled into Grayson and Preston's arms.
Emma and Diane were sobbing, Diane pressing her forehead against Sebastian's, caressing his cheeks between her hands. "Are you hurt? Have you fed?" she frantically asked through her sobs.
"Yes, My Love. Grace had a guard working for her. He was able to give us a little, so I'm not full, but I'm okay." Sebastian assured her, silencing her sobs as he pressed a kiss to her lips.
Grayson was looking over Emma, checking her for wounds, his eyebrows furrowed together. "Are you okay? Has anyone done anything to you?" he asked, his face morphing into anger as Emma didn't reply. "Who?" he asked, his voice dangerously quiet.
"Gray, I'm fine—" Emma tried to say, but he interrupted her.
"No, you aren't gonna say you're fine and that be the end of it. You don't have to tell me what they did, but as soon as we get Graham taken out of power, I want to know every single person who hurt you and mother. Even if it was something small, I want to know." His voice was pleading, begging her to let him take revenge on those who had caused her and Diane pain. He didn't sound angry anymore, just pleading, as he held her face softly in his hands. "I'm so sorry, 'Em. I'm gonna make this right."
Emma gave him a smile, placing her hands over his. "I'm okay, Gray. Mom is okay, we all our. Just focus on killing Graham for me, and I promise I'll give you every name you want."
Grayson stared at her a moment, before slowly nodding. "Okay, I will."
They both released one another, and I smiled, loving how protective Grayson had gotten over Emma. She sometimes thought she got on his nerves, that he didn't care about her like she did him. It was something she had confined in me about, and it really bothered her. Having Grayson caress and comfort her like an older brother, promising he would fix everything and hurt those who had hurt her, meant the world to Emma. She beamed at him, stepping back, before turning her eyes to me. "Gracie!" she cried, throwing herself into my arms.
"Hey, Emmy." I said back, wrapping my arms around her tightly. "I'm sorry I couldn't visit for a while."
Emma shook her head, pulling away, but kept her arms locked around me. "It's okay. You were trying to find a way to help us." She paused, glancing at Acheron and gulping. "From the looks of things, you did find help." she finished, looking back at me.
I smiled and nodded, pulling her and Diane to Acheron. "Acheron, this is my sister, Emma, and my second mother, Diane."
Acheron gave them both a small smile, nodding his head to them. "It's a pleasure, ladies."

VampireI looked up at his eyes, and immediately saw fear in them. He was scared I would reject him, tell him to leave and never speak to me again. I couldn't find a reason in my naive, human mind to do that though. "I wanna be mad that you didn't tell me...
