Author's Note: This story portrays a toxic relationship, but there is no violence that is written here (the scene gets interrupted before it can ever get to that point). Just wanted to put a warning out there in case that is a sensitive topic for some people.

Summary: Darla stops by to visit Jessie again - but she also has her eye on Hudson. The two begin dating, even though Jessie warns Hudson against it.

A man in his twenties played an imaginary guitar, while using his mouth to make sounds mimicking the instrument.

This was beyond annoying for the more responsible red-headed adult sitting next to him. "Hudson!"

At her harsh tone, Hudson stopped - and he actually pretended to take the air guitar from around his neck. He seemed a bit annoyed too. "Oh, come on, I'm just trying to make this assignment fun."

Jessie wasn't too pleased with that answer. She looked at him as if he was crazy, before smiling to prevent her from losing her cool. "You know what would actually be fun? If we could finish the assignment so we have to never spend time together again!"

Hudson sat up straighter. "Okay, first of all, we are partners for every assignment this semester, so we actually will have to see each other again."

Jessie leaned her head back and groaned. "Why did you have to remind me?"

"And second, spending time together isn't so bad, is it?"

Jessie didn't know notice the more serious look in Hudson's eyes as he asked that question. So, she was extremely bold with her response. "Yes, yes it is."

Hudson swallowed as he tried to push back how that comment really made him feel, before rolling his eyes and putting on a more angry look, to pretend as if he couldn't stand her either.

As Jessie started to focus again on the textbook, she found herself dealing with another distraction.

Two DSLR cameras were suddenly surrounding her face. She looked up to see that it wasn't Hudson - thank goodness because if it was, she would've probably killed him.

Turns out, it was two teen girls, one blonde and one brunette.

"Emma, Rosie, what are you doing?"

"We are in charge of the newspaper this week!" The blonde exclaimed happily.

"Yeah, me and Emma are like the paparazzi, on the hunt for a juicy story that will humiliate the rich." Rosie said, with a bit of vengeance in her voice.

"Hey!" Emma said, sounding offended, "I'm the rich!"

Rosie chuckled nervously before lowering her camera away from Jessie. "Sorry."

Within a second, Emma shrugged. "Eh, it's fine. You've shown me that some rich people do deserve the humiliation."

It's true. Every since becoming friends with Rosie, Emma's learned a lot more about life. And a lot of it was sad, but if she could be one of the rich people that played a part in helping the world instead of being the source of all the problems, then she was willing to learn how to do that. That's why Emma ended up selling half of her possessions and even convincing her siblings to give up some of their material things to raise money for the poor, and others who need it way more than their spoiled selves do. She also now uses her passion for fashion to raise money and awareness for important issues too. That's why her sparkly pink blouse had writing on it which said Save the world from climate change and overalls.

Jessie scoffed. "It's not just the rich that deserve some humiliation."

Hudson was baffled and annoyed when he saw Jessie staring directly at him. "Oh come on, really?"
