Darla and Hudson (Part One)

Summary: Jessie finds out something shocking - That her nemesis Darla and the nuisance that is Hudson are dating. This bothers Jessie even more than she thought it would, but she doesn't know why.

Author's Note: I did write another fanfic where Hudson and Darla are dating, but this is a completely different story. I hope you enjoy reading!

Emma and Zuri walk through the elevator entrance of the penthouse.

Zuri is walking in front of Emma and she has a camera in her hands. She's filming Emma for her new vlog.

"Now that I just got my nails done," Emma shows off her pink nails with black polka dots to the camera, "I'm coming back home to me and my family's fabulous penthouse!"

Emma stretches out her arms and Zuri starts to turn the camera around, filming the penthouse to show the audience just how big it is.

Emma spots a woman with red hair putting items from the sofa into a box. The blonde teen then motions for her sister to bring the camera back towards her as she walks over the woman.

She brings the woman over to the camera. "And look everyone, this is my amazing nanny, Jessie."

Emma then looks at her, "Say hi, Jessie."

Jessie just stares with boredom as Zuri points the camera directly at her.

"Hi." She says dryly before going back to putting the various toys and items away in a cardboard box.

Emma then chuckles awkwardly. "Cut."

Zuri follows her directions and puts the camera down.

Emma turns to her attention to her nanny. "You don't seem very excited."

"No, that's because Darla is coming over soon." Jessie says with dread.

Emma blinks in confusion. "Why is Darla coming over here?"

Jessie stops what she's doing and sighs before explaining things to Emma. "Well, me and Darla agreed to be nicer to each other since we are family now, so I agreed to meet her new boyfriend..."

Jessie then inhales through her teeth as she forces a fake smile. "Which if I'm being honest, her boyfriend is probably ever bit as awful as she is..."

Emma and Zuri exchange glances with each other.

Jessie clears her throat. "But I should give both him and Darla a chance, so I am just cleaning up before they come."

Jessie looks peeved again. "Because I don't want to give her any reason to start hurling insults at me."

Emma notices Jessie continuing to pick up items from the sofa. "Wait, isn't that Bertram's job?"

"Yeah, but he did work three whole hours yesterday so I decided to give him the day off." Jessie's voice is dripping with sarcasm.

However, Emma lifts an eyebrow since she doesn't get it. "Really?"

"No, he just doesn't want to do his job, so I'm forced to do it!" Jessie says, raising her voice a little.

"Okay, okay, geez..." Emma seems a bit sensitive to Jessie snapping at her.

Jessie takes a deep breath and has an apologetic look on her face. "I'm sorry Emma. Knowing that Darla is going to be here just has me a bit stressed. I hope she gets here soon so that we can get this over with."

Suddenly, a knock on the back door of the kitchen is heard from the living room.

Zuri chuckles. "It looks like God answered your prayers."
