Summary: Hudson takes on the challenge of taking care of the Ross kids to prove to Jessie that he is more capable than she thinks he is.

Author's Note: Hi! Here are some important things to know before reading: If you don't remember Hudson's character, then these stories probably won't make much sense. Hudson is Stuart's nanny. He was in the episodes "Where's Zuri?", "Basket Case", and "Capture the Nag". But here are a few things to know. When you see the term "hacky sack" in these stories, it's referring to this sport/game that Hudson was really into in the episode "Basket Case". The sport is also called "foot-bag" sometimes. You have to kick around this ball or bean bag around with your foot (you can't use your hands) and pass it to the others in order to play the game. I don't know everything about it, but I just wanted to give some context. Also, "bro-cita" is just Hudson's way of saying "bro", but a female version of it. Finally, there's no info on exactly how old Hudson is, but he is an adult, so I assume he is in his twenties - same as Jessie during season 4. The "chapters" in this story are really just individual stories. Anyways, I hope you enjoy reading!

Jessie walks in the kitchen to see a sight that isn't good if all the kids are to get to school on time.

Instead of eating their breakfast, each of them are doing various other things.

Emma and Ravi are sitting next to each other on one side of the table. Emma is doing something on her laptop, while Ravi is using a screwdriver to put some kind of machine together.

On the other side of the dining table, Zuri is listening to music in her earbuds, while Luke is playing a video game.

Jessie sighs. She did not get enough sleep to put up with all of this first thing in the morning.

"Okay, what are you all doing? You need to eat your breakfast."

"But I need to finish this project for film class!" Emma protests, while still keeping her eyes on the screen.

"What did I tell you about working on your assignments at the last minute?"

"I didn't know editing videos was this much work! I thought the video editing software did most of the work for you!" Emma exclaims. It's true, she really underestimated the effort that goes into editing videos.

Jessie turns to Ravi and gasp. "You're not working on a science project at the last minute, are you?"

Now, that would be shocking.

"Oh, no," Ravi lifts his head for a second, "This is not for school. This is my own scientific invention I am working on! See, it is going to-"

"Ravi, it's too early in the morning for science talk. Save it for this afternoon."

At Jessie's words, Ravi seems a little disappointed, but nonetheless gets back to work on his invention.

Jessie walks over to Luke. "Come on, what have I told you about playing video games too much?"

"I'm almost done, I just want to pass this level of the game!" Luke says, continuing to put an extreme amount of effort into playing the game.

Jessie scoffs at how focused and hardworking Luke seems to be when it comes to video games. "If only you could apply this work ethic to other areas of your life..."

Finally, she walks over to Zuri.

Zuri doesn't notice her for a while, as she's been enjoying her music. However, she can feel someone staring at her and she takes one of her earbuds out.

"What? I'm just listening to some country tunes to help start my day on the right foot!"

Jessie sighs and walks to the kitchen counter before leaning on it. "Can this day get any worse?"
