A Jessie and Hudson Christmas

Author's Note: Okay, I know it's not Christmas, but I just had this really cute idea for these two during the holidays and I just had to share it!

Summary: Emma invites Hudson over to celebrate Christmas with Jessie.

Emma is doing her Christmas shopping. Her basket is full of wrapped presents.

She just has to get one more present, which requires her to turn her basket toward the jewelry aisle.

When she gets there, she sees a man in his twenties also in the aisle. He's looking at some necklaces. He has slightly messy brunette hair and seems to have a plaid shirt hiding underneath a green sweater. He also wears a grey jacket on top and has blue jeans on.

Emma squints her eyes. It seems as though she recognizes him.

When the man finally grabs a necklace and puts it in one of those tiny baskets you can carry with your hands, he turns to leave, allowing Emma to see his face.

She smiles. "Oh, hi Hudson!"

Hudson smiles back, but it's clear he never expected to see her. "Oh hey, Emma...lee?"

He struggles to think of her name, guessing that it was Emily. If he would've just stopped before he pronounced the "lee" part, he would've gotten it right. It's typical Hudson fashion to mess something up that's so simple.

"It's Emma." She corrects him.

"Right." He days, before his eyes land on her basket full of stuff. He looks at it in awe. "Whoa, I don't think I've ever seen that many presents in one place before."

"Oh yeah, it's our family tradition for me to get all the Christmas presents." She then gives him a serious stare, "And I don't mess around, I make sure that I give the best presents every single time."

Hudson gives an impressed smile and nods. Emma decides to switch topics a little bit and goes back to her bubbly self.

"Anyways, how is your holiday going so far? Do you have any special plans?"

Hudson puts the hand that isn't holding the mini basket in his pocket. He shakes his head. "Nah, I'm just going to be watching Stuart. Both of his parents got stuck having to perform a surgery on Christmas Day."

Emma pouts. "Aww, it's sad that neither you or Stuart will get to spend the holiday with your family."

The blonde teen gives him a sincere look of sympathy. She personally knows how it feels to not have your parents around during the holidays. But even then, at least she gets to be with her brothers and sister. Stuart and Hudson were the only children in their families and so they don't even have that.

"Nah, don't worry about it. Me and Stuart are still going to have a lot of fun." Hudson says, seeming really excited.

Emma looks at him with concern. "You mean safe fun, right?"

She asks him that, knowing how wild and irresponsible Hudson can get.

Hudson chuckles and reassures her. "Yes, of course."

He looks to the side, with a guilty look. "I mean, it's not like I ever let Stuart play with matches or anything..."

Emma blinks, knowing very well that that probably happened, despite Hudson's very bad attempt at lying.

"Anyway... You two can totally spend Christmas with us!"

Hudson's eyes widened at the thought, before shaking his head. "Oh, no, that's alright. Besides, I'm pretty sure that Jessie wouldn't approve of that and I don't want to ruin her Christmas, you know?"
