chapter 5
catastrophic party

What the fuck.

“Evan — have you lost your mind??”

Surely she wasn't the only one who found this crazy right? This was something she definitely did NOT expect when the man had pulled both her and Alec to a much more private space.

By the looks of Alec, she definitely wasn't the only one who seemed shocked by this idea.

I mean, how else were they supposed to react to their friend, who they haven't seen in a few years, telling them that he needed them to be in a fake relationship with him?

This was absurd — insane she might even say! Because you don't just go to your friends and ask them if they could pretend to date you. Especially when one (or maybe two) of them actually likes you. But he didn't know that. Still, it was unexpected, especially from Evan, for this to be asked. And hey, maybe she should've expected it after he mentioned a solution but she didn't, okay!

The musician sighs. He didn't know what he expected, but it definitely wasn't a sudden outburst from the blunette.

“Hey— why don't we calm down for now?” And there Alec goes to save the day. He places a hand on the blunette's shoulder, patting it to somehow cool her down. They all knew deep down that she wasn't mad or angry, just surprised. She just wasn't the best with her reactions and didn't know how to deal with her emotions. Especially in sudden situations like this one.

Funneh just nods, taking a breath for a moment. Okay, deep breaths. It wasn't his fault, it wasn't something he even wanted. The man was obviously opposed to the idea. With years of knowing him, if there was a choice or any other way, both the redhead and blunette knew he would take that route.

But he couldn't. God, fuck that manager, she was a bitch. Never met her, but the blueberry already despised her.

“You think Funneh and I could discuss this for a few minutes? This is a huge decision after all.” Yeah, she wishes he was exaggerating, but he wasn't. Because unlike the rest of her friends, she was never exposed to the public.
