No Magic AU and School AU, and Modern Time.
A story of how Jegulus became Jegulus in modern times the story begins when Regulus was in 8th grade (14) and James was in 9th grade (15).
Regulus was asleep on James' shoulder in the living room when Sirius let himself into the house. "Oh thank god!" He sighed in relief. "He's safe," He said. "Regulus, your brother is here!" James said nudging Regulus awake. "Siri?" He asked. "Reggie! I'm here!" Sirius said. Regulus' eyes shot open. "Did she hurt you?!" Regulus asked. "Couldn't I lock my room from the inside and I left before she woke up!" Sirius said. Regulus sighed in relief then ran over to Sirius hugging him. "But I have to tell you something Reggie," Sirius said sadly. Regulus pulled away confused. "What's wrong Sirius?" Regulus asked. Sirius opened the door and Regulus was face-to-face with all his burned stuff on the front lawn. "What the hell?!" Regulus yelled. James got up and saw. "Oh shit!" James yelled. Mia walks over to them and asks, "What is it?" Regulus pointed at him burned up stuff on the front lawn. "She knew I was here," Regulus said. "She knew I was here and burned my stuff," Regulus lost his balance but both James and Sirius were able to catch him before he could fall. "I have nothing!" Regulus said. He spotted a piece of paper and walked out the door towards it. He removed his burnt phone that was on top of it. "Well, she burned my phone!" He said. He put the phone aside and picked up the paper. "What is it?" James asked. Regulus opened it reading:
Dear Disappointment,
I always thought your brother would be the one I disown but it turns out you're the disappointment of this family. Oh, wait I've disowned you! You are no longer a part of this family and never come back! I hope you loved my departing gift!

Regulus just clutched the paper and cried. "I have nothing and nowhere to go," He sobbed. "Regulus you are still my brother no matter what!" Sirius said rushing to his side. "She disowned me..." Regulus whispered then he screamed. Mia was now in front of him once he was finished and opened his eyes. "You can stay here with me and James," She said. Regulus just hugged her and sobbed. Sirius hugs him too. James joins in as well. They all pulled away and Regulus goes around while Mia went inside to get garbage bags. Regulus leaned down picking up a photo of him and Sirius. Regulus felt tears run down his face. "What's wrong?" Sirius asked and he showed the photo to him. "At least it only burned at the edges," Sirius said. "Yeah," Regulus said quietly before placing it in his pocket.

Regulus picks up all his burned stuff. James wrapped an arm around him. Regulus smiled softly at James. The two walked into the house. "You two have grown close," Sirius said. "Yeah he's my friend," Regulus said smiling at James who was already smiling at him. "I'm glad that you two are friends!" Sirius smiled. "Well I've talked to the police and reported Walburga for trashing my front lawn with her disowned son's turned things," Mia said angrily. Regulus got up and hugged Mia. "What's this for?" She asked. "You just seemed stressed," Regulus said and Mia smiled hugging back. "Thank you," Mia thanked him. Regulus goes and sits next to James laying his head on his shoulder whilst the boy read. "Whatcha reading?" Regulus asked. "A book about world records," James responded. "Well, I'm glad that you can read," Regulus said. James rolled his eyes while Sirius laughed. James got up making Regulus fall over. "Jokes on you the couch is comfier than your shoulder!" Regulus said. James placed his hand over his heart. "How could you! After all, I've done for you! You replace me with my couch!" He said overdramatically. Now everyone was laughing and Regulus got up jumping onto James' back. "I'm sorry," Regulus apologized. "It's fine!" then like that James went running around the house with a screaming Regulus on his back.
Someone knocked on the door while Mia, Sirius, and James were in the living room watching the TV while Regulus was asleep snuggled close to James' chest on the sofa. Sirius got up and opened the door. "Do you know where a Regulus Black is?" The officer asked. "Yeah, why?" Sirius asked. Mia woke up Regulus and once Regulus was right by his brother then cuffed him. "What's going on?" Regulus asked. "Hey! Why are you arresting my brother?!" Sirius yelled. "For the attempt murder of his mother Walburga Black!" The officer said. "What?!" They all yelled. "But I didn't do anything! I've been here all day and she was beating me last night!" Regulus yelled squirming out of the police officer's reach. "Don't worry Regulus we're coming after you!" Mia yelled and they got into her car.
