My Growing Love For You

Chapter 15

For the next month going into August Regulus hardly went outside fearing his mother and father were out there getting ready to harm him. James was concerned and very worried. Regulus spent most of his days looking into his room not eating or leaving his room at all. He isolated himself having no one come into his room and kept his lights off and the blinds closed. Sirius tried to talk to his brother and let him in but he wouldn't even let the person of his blood into his room. Sirius on the other hand wouldn't let the news of his parents' release change his life and lived every day as he did while his parents were still locked up. But Regulus was always different and sensitive. Things always affected him more than they did Sirius but that didn't make Sirius see him differently. He loved his brother for how he was. 

Regulus was laying in his bed staring at the ceiling when there was a knock. "Reggie dear! It's Mia! I've brought you some soup!" Mia said. "Just place it in front of the door and I'll grab it in a moment!" Regulus yelled. Mia placed the bowl in front of the door and Regulus waited for her to walk away once she did he got up, unlocked his door then opened it grabbed the warm chicken noodle soup closing and locked the door behind him. Regulus sat at his desk and noticed a piece of paper on the side of the bowl. Regulus peeled it off and opened it. It read:

Dear Reggie, 

I'm worried about you and you've grown distant. Of course, I understand that your going through a hard time. Anyway if you need me to comfort you just remember that I'm here for you.

Regulus smiled at it softly then set it aside. Picking up the spoon and eating the soup. Looking at his phone he picked it up realizing it was dead. He got up and quickly plugged it in then going back to eating the soup.
