"Officer I swear on my soul that I didn't try to kill my mother!" Regulus said. "Then why does your mother say that you tried to?" The officer asked. "Because I ran away last night after she started beating me and she knew that I went to the Potters' residence and that Mrs. Potter would call the police station on her. This morning I had to clean up all my burnt stuff and so the clothes I have on are the only clothing I have and she burnt my phone and left me a letter saying she abandoned me!" Regulus said. "Would you be fine if you were put on a lie detector test?" The officer asked and Regulus nodded. "Okay!" The officer said and walked Regulus to another room.
They hook him up to the machine. "Did you try to kill your mother?" The officer asked. "No," Regulus said. "True!" The guy said. "Did your mother beat you?" The officer asked. "Yes," He answered. "True!" The guy said. "Did you really stay with the Potters?" The officer asked. "Yes," He replied. "True!" The guy yelled. "Final question did you really get all your things burned and got disowned?" The officer questioned. "Yes," Regulus answered. "True!" The guy yelled.
They unhooked the machine. "You're free to go!" The office said. "Thanks," Regulus smiled. The officer takes Regulus to the front desk. Mia, Sirius, and James stood up and James ran over to Regulus hugging him tightly. "James you're crushing my boys!" Regulus said. James let go and backed away. "Sorry!" He apologized. Mia filled out the paperwork and said that Regulus would be staying with her and James. As soon as they left Regulus fell asleep on Sirius' shoulder. They stop in front of Sirius' house. "James, can you swap out with me?" Sirius asked. James nodded and Sirius got out waking up Regulus. "Where are you going, Siri?" He asked sleepily. "Unlike you little brother I have to go home so the mother doesn't kill me but I'll see you tomorrow," Sirius said before he placed a soft kiss on Regulus' head and then walked off towards the house. James gets into the backseat and shut the door and Regulus laid his head on James' shoulder falling asleep again.
