Two weeks.
That was how long it had been since her baby went to space. He wanted to learn about all the different species. He wanted to traverse the universe.
One week.
That's how long it took for everything to fall apart. They assured parents that the program was safe. Plenty of people had spent time in orbit and there were no problems for them.
But that was before...
Before first contact. Before the treaties. Before the station was built.
Her baby got to stay a week, happy and safe, before it all was ruined. It didn't even take a week after his abduction for him to be declared a lost cause. "A waste of government funding and resources" they had said.
By the end of the second week it wasn't only Izuku she was missing; it was Mei too. She filed a report but knew it would go nowhere. She knew that Mei would've gone after Izuku, she wasn't oblivious to the projects her daughter worked on. Granted she was unable to join her daughter to find her son, but it's fine.
She has work to do. If she doesn't legally hijack the government and reform it then who would? I mean, why not put that political background to use? It's not like she retired this early because she was bad at it. She did change her name, so obviously the people who took over don't know it's her. The fact that this is how they treat their citizens is appalling. It won't be difficult for her to tear everything down. After all, even after changing her name to Midoriya, she was still an Akatani.

When A'zawa, Hi'ashi, and Izuku get back to Nigh'eye's control room they are graced with a beeping sound coming from a sensor across the room. The creature manning that station looking confused and slightly panicked.
"Sir Nigh'eye? We might have a problem here..."
Nigh'eye approaches the beeping console and looks over the Nabusu's shoulder(?) to read the sensors. Despite his alien features, it is quite easy for Izuku to read the confusion that spreads across his face.
"How have the Oxygen levels increased? There was no way for the ship to gain more. Unless...." Nigh'eye turns to Izuku with a criticizing look. "Your cscdob had some in her ship, but that doesn't explain the massive jump in levels. How did it go from 20% to 40% after only three bunutes?"
"Um, it could be because her ship was completely full of it...?" Izuku sheepishly says, and all the sapients in the room let out shocked noises.
"And why, did your sister decide that the best thing to breathe during a long feikqo is a highly dehsm and pvkwwklvo celcdkxmo?"
Izuku, ignoring Nigh'eye's pointed glare turns to A'zawa.
"What's 'feikqo'? Also, what's 'dehsm' and 'pvkwwklvo celcdkxmo' mean?"
"'Feikqo' is like a trip, just on a ship."
"Oh, so a voyage, got it. What about the other words?"
"'Dehsm' means that it's bad for you. 'Pvkwwklvo' means that it has a high chance of burning, and 'pvkwwklvo' is just a complex way to say thing."
"So he's asking why she traveled all the way here in a toxic and flammable substance? What? Oh, he means the oxygen..."
"Zuzu, you're muttering again." Mei interrupts, causing Izuku to jump.
"Wha! Mei! When'd you come out here?"
"Just now! You said to go to you if I needed help. You're the language nerd here anyway! I need you to help me program the translator," Mei excitedly replies.
