"Yukiko-san, you are very good with a katana." Said the man next to her. He has been staring as she practiced for hours at this point.
"Before I point my katana at you, scram." She have him a cold glare. No matter how many times she declines, men just keep swarming her like flies.
"You are so cold, yet you are of marriageable age. I don't get why you keep refusing proposals." He said loking down at her arrogantly, which ticked the woman off. She decided to ignore his words.
"Yukiko, you have a mission." She heard the icy tone of her own father. "You are dismissed, Kaito." The older man switched his full attention onto his daughter.
"At the border of Tokyo, there is a curse, who is said to be a first rank. There is a person who has requested it, he apparently is a wealthy man, but his family is in danger. I need him to owe me a favour." He explained his intentions.
"I will come back in two days, Oto-san." She said and left immediately.
Yukiko was used to her father using her abilities to their fullest to gain more power, but she couldn't do anything against that. She loved her parents, even if they didn't love her. She loved them unconditionally, that she would even kill the entire clan for their sake.
She could never defy them. Her mother taught her elegance and composure. Her father taught her how to properly wield power in the family. Nonetheless, all of the family emembers knew that she wouldn't be able to inherit the position of a Head anyways, due to her gender.
Though, she never really interested herself with the power struggle in the family, ever since the blessed child was born. Her nephew - Satoru. She liked the kid. He was very respectful towards her and was always eager to be taught by her, since she was the only one in her family, who got Limitless besides the boy himself.Yukiko just sliced the curse in half, killing it in one blow.
"Now let's get some mochi for Satoru." She said to no one in particular, heading towards the shop.
"Can I have this mango one, this one and the strawberry one, please?" She asked with a small smile.
"That would be xxx." The shop owner said and have her the goods.
She turned around and accidentally bumped into someone.
However, she was just shocked that she didn't notice his presence at all.
She looked up and saw a tall, well-built man in front of her. That surprised her as well, since she was a tall woman herself, but her looking up so much made her feel a bit inferior. Her fragile ego was hurt a bit.
"Look where you're going." He said rudely, annoying the woman even more.
"You perfectly saw me standing her and it was you who didn't even move a little further at least to not bump into me, jerk." She crossed her arms and held her head up high.
Then, the girl finally started to look at him closer. She noticed mid-length black hair and green eyes, along with an arrogant and uninterested expression accompanying him.
He was wearing a similar to Yukiko's kimono style.
"Which clan are you from?" She asked cautiously, touching the hilt of her katana. The man had a dangerous aura surrounding him. It almost felt suffocating.
"Why do you need it?" He answered confirming that he was indeed from a clan.
"I don't need it. I will just leave." She said and cautiously walked away from him.
She had an uneasy feeling about the man. And the fact that she couldn't even sense his presence or at least some cursed energy, made her even more uncomfortable."I am back, Oto-san. Everything is done. I talked to the man and he agreed to do anything to help you."
"Okay, good." He said and dismissed her.
Yukiko just went to her nephew's place, to gift him the mochi she got, before they got bad.
She neared his room and announced her arrival, due to the habit of hers. She perfectly knew that he might have already sensed the woman when she was at the doorstep.
"I brought you some mochi, Satoru-kun!" She ruffled the boy's hair. He happily took the treats and stuffed his face.
"You're so cute, Toru-kun." She pinched his cheeks.
"Oba-san, you know, no one except for you is able to do this to me." He looked at her with his crystal blue eyes. People who inherit Limitless and Six Eyes get this vibrancy to their eyes. Everyone else in the family had plain blue eyes, that were passed down from generation to generation.
"Yeah, and I will keep doing that. If not me then who would be able to humble you?" She smiled warmly.
"I missed you, Oba-san." He blushed a bit.
"Was the Head giving you trouble? I will scold him for you..." She said caressing his face.
"What can you do? I cannot evade the training all the time and you cannot scold the Head. Do you want a death sentence?" He rationally answered.
That wasn't an answer that she would have gotten from a typical 11 year old child.
"Anyways. Did you have any progress with controlling the Six Eyes? Are you still running out of cursed energy as fast?" She asked absentmindedly, remembering that mysterious Mann for a second, before diverting her thoughts to the issue before her.
"Yes, I cannot control it, the information flooding my mind is tiring me out a lot." He said looking up at his aunt.
"I thought about it a lot, but what if we do something like this." She pulled out the sunglasses. "You said that the Six Eyes works only when you see the object or a person directly, right?" She put on the round sunglasses on him.
"Oh, it feels much better. My headache is going away." He said with a cute expression on his face, eating the last mochi in his hands.
"Good. Now I will probably have to go." Yukiko excused herself and went back to her place.
The hollow room with nothing but a sack of clothes and bedsheets. She threw her katana on the bedsheets and sat, leaning on the wall.
"When will this end?" She said to herself and accidentally fell asleep.A/N: Leave votes and comments ples♡
