Toji and Yukiko finally settled in their new place and legally changed their names. They their marriage certificate as well. Everything went smoothly.
Yukiko started working again and Toji was more of a stay at home husband for the time being.
He cooked her food, when she came from a mission and spent quality time with her. Whether it was just watching movies together or going out for the day.
Yukiko also befriended more a special grade sorcerer during her stay in another city. Her name was Yuki Tsukumo. Yuki was a very chill, playful, bold and high-energy woman. She was confident and outspoken, completely unafraid to speak her mind at any moment. Yuki wasn't traditionally ladylike and express herself regardless of what anyone thinks, which was the complete opposite of Yukiko. She didn't know, how exactly they befriended each other, but they accidentally met at a ramen shop. They ate together and bonded over some things, before finding out that they both were high ranked sorcerers. Then they started talking about their experiences and much more.
Yukiko was able to hear so many new things from Yuki that she has never tried. She finally found a reliable female friend. However, their time together was cut short, due to her mission. Both of them did not know how and when they will meet each other, so they just parted their ways.
"Did you find a job yet? It'salmost been a year." Yukiko asked Toji, putting the plates on the table.
"Not yet." Toji answered, while reading the newspaper he was holding in his hands. The woman put the kettle onto the stove and stood close to it, waiting for it to boil.
"How was the last mission?" He asked absentmindedly.
"Not much, just killed a second grade curse that was attacking some kids at the kindergarten." She replied with a little concern for the kids.
"Wait... kindergarten?" He finally perked his head behind the newspaper to look at her.
"Yeah, poor kids. There were two casualties when I arrived." She said and remembered the kid's faces.
"A little boy, about 4 years old and his six year old brother."
"They surely died too early." Toji said, deep in thought.
"Children should enjoy their youth and play around at that age." Yukiko whispered to herself and turned the stove down, bringing the boiled water onto the small plate on the table.
"What do you think about kids, Yuki-chan?" He asked the girl randomly.
"Kids are cute. I find them pretty amusing to look at." She smiled at the thought.
"What about having your own child?"
"Well, I am scared of failing as a mother, but I guess I wouldn't hate having one running around the house." She thought about their own child with Toji.
'A little girl or a boy resembling him, would definitely look pretty.' She smiled. However, she reminded herself that they had no feelings for each other except for their friendship, once again.
"Do you have any missions tomorrow?" He asked the woman, startling her with an sudden question.
"No, as far as I know." She looked at the calendar on the wall.
"Keep it like that." He said and sat down to eat.
"You need my help with something?" She asked, putting the sushi in her mouth.
"Yes." He shortly replied and kept eating.
"You won't even tell me what you need help with?" She asked with an annoyed expression.
"You'll find out tomorrow." He said and kept eating.
The rest of the lunch was finished in complete silence.
After lunch, Yukiko had a mission, but her thoughts were only on what was going to happen tomorrow.
She easily defeated the third grade curses with one blow and went to the person paying to collect the money.
When she finished running all her errands outside of the house, she went home.
Yukiko didn't see any lights on, so she decided to just quickly take a shower and go to sleep.
She dropped the sack of money filled with cash and did her night routine."Wake up, Yuki-chan." She heard a familiar voice calling for her.
"Ten more minutes please..." She mumbled sleepily.
"No, wake up right now. We are going somewhere important." He said, waking her up with the sudden news. She kept pestering and asking where they will be going, but he was silent about it.
"Wear something warmer. That sweater we bought at that boutique near the stupid statue." He calmly notified her of the weather.
"Then you wear that sweater too, so we will match!" She laughed at the memory of her together with him, when she bought him matching sweaters.
Yuki quickly went out to shower before him and took her towell with her to the bathroom, but forgot to lock the door.
When she started taking off her pants, she heard the handle of the door twist, before opening, revealing the man in this towell.
"Wa-wa-wait, I was first!" She shouted.
"For God's sake, Yukiko, learn to close the bathroom door after yourself. It's already been a year!" He said with annoyed tone, making the girl apologise like always.
She quickly took a shower and ran out of the bathroom to hurriedly change and put on her clothes, while Toji showered.
Yukiko wasn't good at doing it, but she learned it gradually.
It was one of the things she has always wanted to do, but her father always forbid her from doing anything except for training vigorously.
"Are you done?" Toji's deep voice could be heard from the kitchen.
"Yes!" She walked out in her black maxi skirt with a beige sweater, the exactly similar in colour as Toji's.
"Where are we going?" She asked once again, not really expecting an answer, but more to just annoy him.
"On a date."
"Ok... wait... what?" She was shocked at his answer.
"I planned a date for today." He shrugged opened the door for her to go out of, taking his keys and closing the door.
"Uhh, okay." She said with blush adorning on her cheeks.
They left the building to head towards a small cafe Toji found by accident, while doing groceries.
"This is a really nice cafe..." She awkwardly tried making conversation.
"I found it while buying groceries two weeks ago. I wanted to bring you here since." He said, getting the seat for her.
"Such a romantic." She looked at him cutely, making the man chuckle.
They spent some time talking about the usual stuff and eating some nice pastries along with drinking a good coffee.
"I am interested Toji, for how long have you liked me?"
"I believe since that time when you hurt your hand and came over to my house." He answered truthfully. "I found you quite intriguing." He confessed. Toji asked her the same question.
"I think that I fell for you since the meeting with the Head of the Gojo Clan." She answered. "But why didn't you act upon your feelings back then?" She wondered.
"You weren't at the right state of mind back then. You kept missing your parents, struggled with moving in and so much more. But now you seemed to feel much better." He pointed out to her.
"Toji... stop making me fall harder for you." She covered her bright red face with her hands.
"Well... you don't seem to do stop doing that to me either." He took her hands in his, making her look at him.
"Promise me to not leave me, Toji. I don't have anyone else, except for you by my side." She put his hands on her face, leaning onto them.
"I promise."A/N: Leave votes and comments ples♡
