Yukiko woke up all groggy and tired again. Her face was all puffy from crying the entire night.
However she made sure to wake up and finish the lesson with Satoru before she would be scolded again. She wore her usual baby-blue kimono and headed to the training grounds.
There stood the little boy, who had no choice but to learn all of this. He sacrificed his entire childhood, just like Yukiko did.
She never wanted his childhood to be just as miserable as hers, so she frequently tried helping him by visiting him often, bantering with him and lightening the mood.
"Oba-san, will we continue with Six Eyes training today? My head hurts right now. Can we do some physical training instead?" He tried getting her to agree, but Aria knew the smaller Gojo's hate for using it, since it giving him a bad migraine afterwards. But today she felt a little generous.
She threw katana at him at a speed of light almost and he barely evaded the hit, but the weapon did graze his forearm a bit.
"Never slack off at a battle. You must always be prepared." She said coldly. The boy regained his composure and got in a fighting stance.
The girl started ruthlessly attacking the smaller child, who barely evaded them.
"You've been slacking off lately. I see that I've been going too easy on you lately." She responded and threw a kick at the same time, which Satoru couldn't evade. Hitting him in the stomach and throwing his limp body on the ground.
"If you desire to be the strongest, you shouldn't falter and attack. The best defense is offense. If you can't do that, you don't deserve to be the best."When they finally finished the training session with the beat-up Satoru, she ran to the bathroom to wash all the sweat off and quickly get ready to go to the bar.
"I want you to memorise the book on types of curses by the next lesson we will have. Get ready for the test you will be having." She said to the boy who was in front of her, asking where she was going.
"Don't leave me, Oba-san." He looked at his feet.
"I am not leaving you permanently, as I said, go and study, slacker." She booped his nose and left immediately."So you came right on time!" The woman was astonished, seeing the man in front of her.
"I did. Now let's drink something. I haven't drank in a while." He said and ordered bunch of alcohol.
They talked for hours, before Yukiko kind of got tired and they decided to take a walk in the nearby park.
"I hate my family, but I like them. I think that it may not be that I like them, but more that I have no choice but to do so. They gave me and provided me with everything."
"But they provided you with that because you were a child. You weren't able to pay them back then. And I don't even think that you owe them anything. They just did their job as parents." He gave her a small advice.
"Thanks for the advice and for listening to me, Toji-san." She said after they sat down on the bench. Her head felt kind of heavy, so she leaned onto his shoulder, quickly falling asleep.
"Thanks for listening to me too, Yuki-chan." He whispered, looking at the beautiful moon up above."Yukiko-san, marry me!" Another stupid proposal was ruining the young lady's already bad day.
She just ignored him and went further, towards the Head's place.
The source of her annoyance was Toji. They have been talking for weeks now, but for some reason, he cut off contact from her for three days. It was unusual for him to do that, so she was worried about him.
"Yukiko-san, please! Reconsider! I can make you happy!" He wailed out loud.
"If you say another word, I will skin you alive." She threatened, scaring the man successfully.
"That wasn't nice, Oba-san." Little Satoru said with a small smile.
"They don't get that I am not interested in them. I have one too many hints already." Her thoughts wondered to a certain Zennin once again.
"Oto-san called for you." The boy remembered to tell his aunt.
"I will be there in a moment. I have to drop the katana off." She wanted to put off meeting him, but Satoru had other plans.
"I will drop your katana off, he requested for the meeting with you immediately. You know how he can be." Satoru rolled his eyes.
The woman quickly gave her katana to the boy and left to meet the man herself.
Yukiko walked inside the big Palace that was reserved for the Head of the Clan and his family.
"You are finally here, Yukiko." Her uncle started off.
"Good morning, the Head. Pardon my tardiness." She looked down to her feet, not daring to look into his eye.
"No need, I just talked with your father and we came to a very good agreement. You are 19, I presume?"
"I am, sir."
"And as far as I know, you are in very good terms with my grandchild?" She sensed something wrong. Yukiko disliked the feeling.
"As you know, our clan's special ability Limitless and Six Eyes are incredibly precious. They have been for generations, but no one could inherit them for the longest time, before you did, my child. And I have heard that you are immensely talented in using Limitless. You practically mastered it, correct?"
"I still have a long way to go, sir."
"So I propose you to have an arranged marriage with my grandson, after all we must preserve the blessings our clan was gifted."
Yukiko's head was spinning, her mind was going blank as her feet trembled in fear.
"There is only 8 year difference, you can get ready to have a child when our Satoru will be 16." The vile words kept spilling from his mouth.
"I am sorry, sir. However, I must decline. Satoru I a dear nephew of mine and more like a son to me. I cannot accept this arranged marriage..." She declined, hoping for the man to let it go, but little did she know, she just infuriated that man.
"This is not just a matter of personal feelings, our clan's reputation is on the line! I will not hear from you any further. Your father and I will discuss the matters ourselves. I thought you would accept it, while I was playing nice, but I guess those words praising you for your intelllect are just lies." She couldn't hear from him anymore, so she just bowed and left immediately. The guards went to accompany her on the Head's orders. He was scared that she would leave.
"I need someone to talk to. I don't know what to do anymore." She whispered, looking out of the window in her room.
She decided that she was going to run away from that wretched place to clear her head for a bit. Opening her window, she jumped out, taking her katana with her just in case, before looking back at the house she had to be confined to.
Yukiko wanted to see Toji, so she headed to the Zennin Clan.A/N: Leave votes and comments ples♡
