FAYRE'S POV

I got up from my bed getting ready for the day. I left my room, walking about helping anyone who needed help before I saw Mitsunari walking towards me. I ran towards him happily, hugging him.

"Mitsu! Good morning! How are you?"

"Good morning, Fay. I'm doing great, what about you?"

"I'm so happy."

I let go of him and was about to go before he asked, "Do you want to come to watch the foot soldier training with me? I know it might be boring... but I'd like it if you could be there."

"I'd love to!" I said happily. I followed him to the training grounds and we each took a seat. Mitsunari was explaining to me what was happening and why things were the way we were and I felt like I was truly learning something.

Everything was so good until I heard an asshole being rude to an innocent person. I got up from my chair to investigate only to see a captain yelling at his subordinate.

"You're so slow! Why can't you be any faster?! Lord Hideyoshi is here and you're making ME look bad."

"I apologize, Lord Akabori."

Akabori was about to smack the soldier but I was faster and grabbed Akabori's wrist and tackled him down. He looked surprised and he glared at me, and I glared at him too.

"Akabori, don't you know you're not supposed to treat your subordinates like that?" I said smirking callously at him.

"Why is a WOMAN here? Stay away, you wench!" Akabori cried out in disgust.

"This 'wench' is the Princess of the Oda. If I wanted to, I could have you beheaded right now! But, I won't. Instead, we should fight." I said smiling wickedly at him.

"Don't even bother, woman! You're going to look a fool fighting me! Haha!!" He said smirking at me in a mocking way.

I got off of him and put my hands around his throat and tightened my grip only slightly and lowered my voice, "Honey, I will make you eat your words." I whispered so quietly only he could hear, "I could easily make your death look like the most unhonorable suicide there has ever been."

He ran off, cursing as he ran, and I turned my eyes onto the man on the floor. I looked gently at him giving him a warm smile. I gave him my hand and lifted him off of the ground. I looked him up and down to make sure he wasn't hurt by that bastard.

"Are you alright? What is your name?" I asked, in a soft voice.

"Thank you Princess Fayre for helping me. My name is Taro. Lord Akabori was right though, I am a failure. I can't even do this simple thing."

"Taro, have you ever thought that maybe this isn't the position you should be in? I think you would better fit in a different department. I heard you saying some really smart formation stuff! I don't really get the formations but it sounded really smart!" I said with a bubbly smile.

"I second that," Mitsunari said, suddenly walking to us.

"Lord Mitsunari!" Taro said in a surprised tone.

"I think you should be a tactician, just like me. Your ideas for formations are brilliant." He said, smiling softly at the man.

"I thank you both immensely, Lord Mitsunari and Lady Fayre!" He said, bowing very low to us.

We asked him to stand up and he soon ran to the tacticians' area. I then looked at Mitsunari and said, "I saw that Akabori guy being rude to Taro, so I stepped in and stopped him. It also... may have ended in me challenging the guy for a duel!" I gave him a wry smile and Mitsunari looked absolutely appalled.

"Akabori? I thought I recognized his voice and then I heard you chewing out someone and then challenging them, Fayre." Hideyoshi said, noticing us together and looking at me with a slightly stern expression.

"Well, wish me luck, you two! Hehe!" I said running off happily.
