Alyara was near the edge of the reef far from the shore on her ilu. She often went to that point to try and get away from the overwhelming pressure of the clan, and her family.

Alyara was laying calmly on the back of her ilu when she had noticed a couple Ikrans flying towards her village. She heard the horn signalling guests were nearing the village before riding towards the shore to see what was going on. When Alyara reached the shore the people had already landed and the clan was surrounding them. She walked through the crowd to the front where her brother and his friend were already standing. Both of the boys were mocking the new comers, throwing insults at them like they meant nothing. Alyara hit them both upside the head causing them to turn around and look at them.

"You two are both idiots, representing our clan like that. You should be ashamed." Alyara lectured. Rotxo looked down ashamed and muttered an apology while Ao'nung stood there proud.
"I was speaking the truth," he said.
"You were speaking your assumptions, not the truth," she countered. Still glaring at her brother. Ao'nung hissed at his sister and turned to face forward again to look at the visitors. Alyara pushed pass her brother and his friend to be infront of both of them. When she her eyes had got caught on the eldest na'vi there, she recognized him as Toruk Makto. She looked around at the entire family when her eyes fell on the eldest son. He gave her a small smile and a nod. Causing alyara to look down in an attempt to hide the blush on her face.

A large group of people started to part as the two leaders of the clan walked toward the family.
"I see you, Tonowari. I see you, Ronal," Toruk Makto spoke up.
The rest of the family followed soon after, motioning their respect to the Olo'eyktan. He motioned a small sign of respect to the family in return.

"Why have you come to us, Jakesully,'' Tonowari asked. Ronal stayed close to his side till she had parted from his to inspect to family.

"We seek ukturu," Jake responded. Lifting his arms in peace, before lowering them.

"Ukturu?" Ronal challenged.

"Sanctuary for my family," jake stated, looking toward Ronal.

"We are reef people, you are Forest people," Tonowari told them, "your skills will mean nothing here."

"Their arms are thin," she observed, "their tails are weak," Ronal added while holding onto the older girls tail.

"Ow," she tugged her tail away from Ronal. Ronal's eyes widened as she grabbed the girl's hand and held it up for the crowd to see.

"They're not even real na'vi," she said. She walked over to the younger boy and held his arm in the air. He looked down in shame.

"Look," Jake said waving his hand in the air taking the attention away from his child. "Look," he said as he waved it so it would be noticed. "Okay look, I was born with the sky people, now I am Na'vi. Alright, you can adapt." He said. "We," he gestured to his family, "can adapt."

Ronal walked towards Tonowari.

"My husband was Toruk Makto. He led the clans to victory against the sky people," his mate said. Jake looked down.

"You call this victory? Hiding among strangers?" Ronal asked "Eywa has turned her back on you chosen one," Ronal said to Jake. His mate stepped in front of Jake hissing at Ronal, Ronal hissed back causing Jake to intervene. "I'm sorry for my mate, she traveled a long way-"

"Don't apologize for me," She scolded Jake.

"-she's tired," he said, "my entire family is. I'm done with war, fighting, and struggling. I just ask for sanctuary," he pleaded

"Ukturu has been asked," Neytiri Said.

Ronal stepped back to Tonowari and they looked to be discussing silently with each other over whether they could stay there or not. Tonowari sighed looking down. When he looked at the family standing before him he said "Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us, treat them as brothers and sisters. They do not know the sea so they will be like babies taking their first breath." Tonowari says, "we teach them our ways so that they do not feel useless."

"What do we say?" Jake spoke to the child that was in his arms, "thank you," she had said it so innocently.

"Thank you," Jake repeated

"My three children Ao'nung, Alyara, and Tsireya, will teach your children our ways," Tonowari stated. "But father-" Tonowari cut Ao'nung off "it is decided."

Alyara gave her brother a smirk as he looked down frustrated. He quickly turned around and shoved his way out of the crowd with rotxo following close behind him. Alyara gave her sister a smirk as they both stepped forward to greet the family.

"My name is Tsireya, and this is my older sister Alyara," Tsireya said.
"We will be giving you a small tour of our village and showing you the marui pod you will be staying at," Alyara said, her eyes fell on the boy again before looking down. She could feel Tsireya giving her a small look.

When they were walking to the marui pod Alyara noticed the youngest stopping and looking at an ilu. She smiled alittle bit and crouched down next to the child.
"That is an ilu, you will learn how to ride one while we teach you the way of the water," she told her. The girl smiled and stood up and they began walking together to catch up to the group.
"My names Tuktirey, but you can call me tuk," She said with a smile looking up towards the Alyara.
"That is a beautiful name Tuk," Alyara said.

When the two girls reached the marui pod Tuk had ran up to her eldest brother and jumped into his arms. It took him by surprise at first before he quickly held her in a comfortable position at his hip. Tuk was smiling as she told her older brother what Alyara told her.

"It was so beautiful Neteyam," she said. "It's called an Ilu, apparently we will learn to ride them," she said with a giggle. Neteyam glanced at Alyara who was waiting for her sister to finnish talking to his parents.

"Thats amazing tuk," he said.

"Shit," tsireya said. The girls had left the Sully family to get situated a couple minutes ago.
"What?" Alyara asked.
" I forgot to tell the sully's that dinner time is at sun down," she winced, looking at her sister pleadingly.
"Fine, I'll go back," she said. Turning around to go back down the path back to the sully's marui pod. When she was walking on the path lost in thought, she wasn't paying attention and accidentally ran into someones chest. She lost her balance and was waiting to fall backward into the water when she didn't she looked up to see one of the sully boys holding onto her wrist. He pulled her back up to her balance. She looked up to thank him, but her breath hitched as she was about to do so, realizing it was the boy she was looking at when they arrived.

"I'm sorry for running into you," the boy said. He looked concerned as he examined her body for any bruises he might have caused. "Did I wind you?" he asked.
"I-No, I'm fine, sorry for not paying attention to where i was going," Alyara mumbled. "Um, I came to tell your family that dinner was at sundown," she said.
"Oh, thank you," he said. "I'm Neteyam by the way, your Alyara, right?" he asked.
"Yes, I am," she said smiling. "Well, it was nice meeting you, i guess i will see you at dinner," Alyara said before turning to walk away.
"See you then," Neteyam called after her.
